WALKS ON WATER
(PROGULKI PO VODE)

Author: "Nautilus Pompilius" and Vyacheslav Butusov, 1994.

Apostle Andrew was standing ashore,
And on water the Savior walked --
And while Andrew was fishing to catch more and more,
To the lost souls the Savior talked.
Andrew nearly wept: "If your secret is kept,
I will find no peace in my soul".
And the Savior said: "Calm down, Andrew,
There is no secret at all.

Can you see -- up the hill
	There stands a cross.
This is the soldiers' tomb --
	Go and hang there!
	And when you're tired,
	Then you may return
	To walk on water,
	To walk on water,
To walk on water with me..."

"But teacher, their helmets are those of foes,
And black raven flies over the tomb!
The crucifix here I see of no use;
Please, explain me -- perhaps, I am dumb".
The Savior his temper has no longer kept,
And God, did his angry voice roam!
"You are really fool!" And Andrew wept,
Collected his fish and went home.

"Can you see -- up the hill
	There stands a cross.
This is the soldiers' tomb --
	Go and hang there!
	And when you're tired,
	Then you may return
	To walk on water,
	To walk on water,
To walk on water with me...

Can you see -- up the hill
	There stands a cross.
This is the soldiers' tomb --
	Go and hang there!
	And when you're tired,
	Then you may return
	To walk on water,
	To walk on water,
To walk on water with me..."
