We are a non profit 501(c)3 charity. We are not funded by government money or private grants. Angel Puss has made a tremendous impact in Los Angeles since 1991 by trapping, spay/neutering, taming & placing 3000 to 4000 cats and dogs a year. This has been done with a handful of loyal unpaid volunteers. No one receives a salary. We must turn to our community for help to continue our work.
Angel Puss maintains from 500 to 750 cats and dogs in the shelter at 7508 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Canoga Park 91303 and in foster homes in L.A., Ventura and Orange Counties. Vet bills are astronomical. Just the food bill is unbelievable. Almost all of our rescued animals come in off the streets or out of shelters. All need grooming, vaccines, worming and medications for various ailments. All need to be spayed and neutered. We need funds. We need your help. Donations are tax deductible.
We've chosen not to enclose pictures of abused, starving, abandoned pets. We prefer to paint a happier picture for our lucky rescued animals that will have a bright happy future in wonderful homes. Of course, we get our share of paralyzed cats with broken necks from being hit with baseball bats and dogs with crippled limbs from being beaten with hammers. But those we rehabilitate and place in homes. They are exactly the reason we are sending you this plea for help.
If you live in the L.A. area, stop in and visit Angel Puss cat & dog boutique. We're open from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.Noon till 7:00 p.m Saturday and Sunday. We are forward thinking and feel that rescue animals should be available seven days a week in a homey atmosphere. On limited funds we have set about to do just that. The animals you see in the boutique are supported only by the adoption fees of the former tenants that were in their cage. Because we've grown so large and offer so many services to our community, we now need to be funded from the outside also. Please find it in your heart and check book to help us help the innocent unwanted four footed furry creatures in their transition into a loving home where they will give unconditional love to their new owners.
Sincerely,
Marge Weems, Director
