Established in August 1848, Green Lawn has through the years become the home of many notables from Columbus's and Ohio's history, including Dr. Lincoln Goodale, the first physician to practice medicine in the city. The cemetery is filled with the large statues and monuments from the last century, a chapel complete with Tiffany windows, the more sedate markers of this century, and many trees and plants.
