Weber Vine Street Hill Cemetery
Cincinnati, Ohio

For many years I drove past this cemetery and noted several monuments and statues. However, I saw little that inspired me to enter. I was greatly surprised when I finally decided to explore this cemetery. The front of the cemetery which runs along Vine Street only gives a small glimpse of what lies inside.
The Vine Street Hill Cemetery has a wide variety of markers. Toward the front there are many Victorian angels and mourning women. A section near the rear contains the graves of many of the area's Germans, the markers of which are written in their native tongue. There are large tracts of old, eroded markers and the new somewhat sterile-feeling section to the north.
