This site has been on the web for 4 years now and this feature will allow you to see some of the different progressions the site has made since its creation in October of 1996.

PART  I:  The Music Forum

I have been visiting DMB Websites since the Spring of 1995.  I was amazed with the sites that existed at that time: The Official Page, DMB Resource Page, Satellite Castle, Blue Water Baboon Farm, and later in the fall, Tripping Billies.  In October 1996 I discovered Geocites and their free home page offer.

I learned the basics of HTML and decided to put up my own page.  I spent a little while thinking about a name for the page and I came up with the Music Forum.  This page was going to be a place to find info on a few of my favorite bands: Dave Matthews Band,  Chicago, and the great saxist David Sandborn.

After about a month,  I discovered that my real passion was for Dave Matthews Band.  I had a few pages dedicated to Chicago, but I spent most of the time working on dmb stuff.  That was when I decided to dedicate my page solely to DMB.

I kept the name, THE Music Forum,  and soon I had the first link to my page on the DMB site True Reflections, which later became LIVE and LOUD.

I was determined to make this site different from the others that existed.  On every page I visited (except Blue Water Babboon Farm), there were the same features...album info, lyrics, pictures, and band history.  This was great for people who are new to the band, but once you learn this info, there has to be something else to do.

That is why I developed the "Top 41 Things About DMB" List and other features such as "Song of the Week," and the "Could I have Been List."  This was a way for the visitors to participate in the sight and have a little fun with their knowledge of the band. The main goal of my site can be described in one word: Creativity.
