I think that PNP is a great beginning and i love how it goes right into Rapunzel. Rapunzel is probably the 2nd best song right behind Crush.
i think that "pnp/rapunzel" are both great. it's a good intro for the new album. also i favor rapunzel particularly because i saw dave in roanoke,va before BTCS was released and that is one of the new songs that stuck out in my mind. it was full of energy and i loved it. dave is awesome: basically i think that's enough said. :)
Cudos to the band for the progressive ideas above these songs imbetween songs. I think that this
is the best example of all of the "bookends" on the disc. Rythmically uptempo, with a little latin.
killer, yet happy.
I would be Dave's rapunzel in a second!!
I love Pantala, but what the hell does it mean? Dave is awesome...I'm in love with him. fun fact there
it's a great song, one that defintiely should be played on the radio. one for the books.
i love this song. This just shows that to all you people
who think dave is gay...he LOVES the female body.......
i want to marry dave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this song, it puts a smile on my face, just like
every other dmb song!!!!!!!!!!! dave is playing at
my wedding....and hopefully he'll be the groom.....
a girl can dream can't she?????????????????????
I think PNP is a good short song to get the cd going into Rapunzel, which has a good beat, and lyrics. But l'm not gonna say that it the best DMB song.
This is a great, no kick ass song!
No single song ever written by the ingenious mind of Dave Matthews' and Boyd, Leroi, Carter, and Stefan could ever be bad in any way. Some may be better than others, but none ever bad. Pantala Naga Pampa is great. An elongated version of the little interludes between the songs, which, might I add, I would like to see elongated also (especially the one between Pig and Spoon). Rapunzel is a great song too. I'm looking foward to more.
Excellent rhythm. The first song off BTCS that I
listened to enough to know all the lyrics off hand
This song rocks exspecally on this bootleg I have called Live @ the 10 spot.. its Awsome.
yippee! i love this song. it's really cool. i wish they would have made pnp into like a real song...not that it's not a real song but into like a long song...y'all know what i mean! hehe..just my thought!
"PNP" is such a welcoming beginning to this album. It sets you up for the wonderful music yet to come, and it's very comforting as well. "Rapunzel" has got to be the lightest, most cheerful song on this album. Everytime I hear it I wanna smile and dance!!! The lyrics are so playful, it reminds me of the beginning of a relationship, how everything is new and exciting. My favorite part is near the end when Dave sings "Hip lock up so tight you drive me crazy, crazy is alright with you lookin at me." It's catchy. I also have to say that the way Dave moans in between the stanzas makes this one of my favorite songs. As I've said before, I really can't ever find anything bad about a dmb song, so I must say this song rocks right along with the rest!!
This song is a good one but it sounds even better live.
ido my best foryou!!!!
I like it...it has a funky beat and makes me dance.
Great song, and opening...Love the upbeat and sexual undertones throughout the song!
Great way to start the album!!!Gets you groovin right from the beginning...
This song is great because of the crazy rhythm. I try to count it and I can't figure it out! I know the middle is 6/8 but the rest I have no clue! That's why I love Dave because they're so different!
PNP is a great little variation on "What Will Become of Me," and Rapunzel kicks...
they both show the improvement in Dave's voice over the years.
Awesome opening track....sets you up nicely for the rest of the CD
Rapunzel is the best song on "Before These Crowded Streets", but i think Two Step on Live@RR8.15.95 is also a great ass song!
DMB 4 life!
OOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down you hair". I will be Dave's Rapunzel any day. I just came back from the show in Hartford, Ct, and it was all I could do not to run on stage and attack David J. Matthews while he was singing that song. "Hips locked up....Good God you drive me crazy. Crazy is alright, with you looking at me". Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! Is how I feel about this SONG O DA WEEK!
"Come and relax now. Put your troubles down. No need to bare the weight of your worries here, just let them all fall away".
