Prehistoric Links
Jurassic 5
www.jurassic5.com - It's the official website. Very nice layout, good photos, some exclusive audio/video files, and a bulletin board..
Jurassic 5 - Some kid named Lucas runs this site. It's got MP3s for Concrete Schoolyard, Jayou, and Unified Rebelution Download the songs if you haven't heard them, and if you haven't heard them, that probably means you don't have the EP, so go buy it.
The Jurassic 5 Mailing List - An e-mail community of J5 fans. Come and join the fun.
Mike's MP3s - Michael B. has kindly put up some MP3's of J5, Ozomatli and Long Beach's Ugly Ducklings. Remember - this is for listening purposes. Buy the CD is you like the MP3s.
OzomatLinks
Ozomatli - Check out Chali 2na and Cut Chemist's other band. Probably the best live band you will ever see in your life. This site is on Almo Records.
John Book's Ozomatli Page - A nice, attractive layout. He also has Prince Paul and Wu-Tang pages.
Hip-hop Sites
URB Magazine - You'd think for such a good magazine - especially about Future Music, it'd be a decent website. Ugh. Well, it's still my favorite music mag.
Insider Magazine - It's a decent DJ-culture magazine. They did a really good article on J5 that I'll put on the site soon. You'll need Macromedia Flash for the site, and it's a really phat site.
Rebirth Magazine - An online magazine dedicated to resurrecting underground hip-hop worldwide. It's got a great layout and lots of good news and information.
Mired - A hip-hop wepage that focuses on the underground. J5 info is here, as well others. MP3s can be found here, too.
New Music Culture - Contains tidbits on many of the dopest hip hop artists, including J5. Chali 2na and Cut Chemist have bits of their own and there is a very good Cut Chemist article.
CDNow - Buy the CD here. If you already have it, buy it for your friend. Maybe the Cut Chemist album - Future Primitive - is in here. Hey, you could get the T-Love CD here too. Chali 2na's on that one.
Other Artists
Invisbl Skratch Piklz - The most amazing turntablists in the world bring you their official webpage, filled with info, news and all that jazz..
Hieroglyphics - This underground supergroup from the East Bay are true hip hop. Their website is quite a looker, as they won some online awards for "Best hip-hop artist site of 1999". Either way, it's a fine site for a fine group of funky homosapiens..
Mos Def Archive - A web site dedicated to one of the most talented, and one of the tightest MCs on the planet, the mighty Mos Def.
Da Hip Hop Pond - An Ugly Duckling page. 1st one on the web I think. Not too shabby.
The Arsonists Official Homepage - A great underground hip-hop group, just signed to alt. rock/indie label Matador Records, these guys set the mic in flames. You've heard "Blaze", here's where the fire started.
