GODDAMN POPUPS ARE GONE! Thanks Dan!

Tour dates are up on [lesson 5: J5 Live], I only have European dates up to next week, but soon I should get the US tour dates. Also, I'm going to have some gear for sale, info on the new album - which has been pushed back to September, and a graphical overhaul. All of this should happen sooner or later. Now that I've graduated from UCLA I have some time to do this.... or maybe not....

Got my "bounce.to" URL today courtesy of V3. Gotta love those Tongans. Finally put pictures up in [lesson 4: the sights]. It's a bit messy, and I may do thumbnail or something like that soon. Hope you enjoy it.

Switched around the table of contents and added [lesson 4: the sights] to the list. Started off the "sights" page with a pic of Nu-Mark and Chemist I snagged off an issue of URB Magazine. BTW, URB is a damn fine magazine with intelligent insight into DJ culture music (hip hop, techno, jungle, big beat, etc.) In addition, "sounds", "the lecture" and "about the author" now have links, but there's not much to them yet.

Just changed the look of the site slightly. I know you all couldn't see the links, so sorry about that. Pictures coming in very very soon.

I added some links today. And I added CDNow links, too. I'll tell you straight up, the J5 ep is cheap ($7.49) and if you buy it through my link, I get a small commission. Don't front me for trying to make some change on the side, ok? I look at it as funding for this site...

First update.... Well, you read my shit on the main page, right? This is what's new:
Jurassic 5 is in the studio right now working on their first full-length LP. FINALLY! A full length. This record (don’t know the title yet) is being released under
Interscope Records and yes, this means that the J5 guys are signed major label now. Aw shit, does that mean Interscope’s gonna have a J5 web-page that’s gonna
be more up-to-date and all that? Dammit, I hope not!
Anyways, if you don’t know, Interscope has Black Eyed Peas, Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Digital Underground on their roster, as well as being the distributer for Death
Row (like they ever make anything TO distribute). The album should drop by the Summer of 1999. This means that they probably won’t be performing any time
soon, but if that changes, I’ll let you know. And no, the Interscope site has yet to show love for J5 as well as Eminem. Corporate bastards.
And yeah, I saw them a few weeks ago at Cypress Hill’s Smoke Out. That was tight.
And BTW, this ain't really new, but just so you all know, Chali 2na and Cut Chemist's other group, Ozomatli, has been kickin up the airwaves in LA for the last couple of months now. They have a really refreshing sound as they mix latin, jazz, reggae, hip hop (rapping and turntabilism), percussions, and so much more. Check their self-titled album out, and if they ever come around to your neighborhood, I srongly suggest you see them live. It's truly a unique experience.
Also, this ain't new either, but for all of you who love Lesson 5 on the EP, check out the CD, Live at the Future Primitive Soundsession featuring Cut Chemist and Shortkut. It's a 70 minute showcase of turntablism at its absolute best. As you know, Shortkut is a member of the supreme Invisbl Skratch Piklz. The best damn turntablist crew in the world. This disc is hard as hell to find, but if you do find it, PICK THIS SHIT UP!!!
