Uriah Heep first stormed onto the international music scene in 1970. Behind the incredible vocal range of David Byron; searing guitar riffs,a soaring Hammond and intricate vocal harmonies established the unique Heep style. Roger Dean's artwork meshed perfectly with the surreal and often supernatural themes of the band's albums. With mythical subjects such as Lady in Black, the Wizard,and Rainbow Demon,to name a few; the music often changed from soft acoustic to thunderous metal in a blink of an eye. With the recent release of "Sonic Origami", the current version of Heep is on a roll! "Sea of Light", "Spellbinder"(Live!) and "Sonic Origami" comprise the most impressive consecutive releases since the Classic era of the mid-70s. Heep...accept no substitutes!!
