Having been a Buddy Holly fan since 1957 - figuring out who he was in 1960 (well, I was very young) I have now decided that it is high time I put something on the web as tribute to the years of musical enjoyment he has provided me.

I have lived in Western Australia since the early fifties and with the exception of 5 year break to live on the side of a mountain in Luxembourg & on some of God's flattest earth in Holland I have been based in Perth most of my life & am in no great rush to leave it .

Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the world where the capital of Indonesia is closer to us than our own capital city of Canberra. This feeling of isolation is political as well as geographic, which cannot be all bad. However this means we are behind in a number of things such as Buddy Holly CDs so we tend to take to communications and information technology with a gusto that surprises some people. Faxes and Internet connections in Australia are as common as mobile phones (second highest penetration in the world) and Internet shopping is a godsend.
