The birth of Beaver began by a chance meeting between Scott and Nathan at a local watering hole. After a night of knocking a few quiet ones back, the future rhythm section of Beaver bumped into one another.
Having a past that involved a few jam sessions a couple of years earlier, both were interested in what the other one was doing both personally and musically. It so happened that Scott had been writing songs with a friend and they were looking for a drummer to audition.
September 16 1996 saw the first jam for three guys who would eventually go on to become Beaver. Being happy with the songs and getting on well with Bela sealed the deal.
After 3 months of solid practice, Beaver finalled exploded onto the stage on December 14 1996. their debut gig was at The Boardroom in Belconnen supporting the now defunct and infamous Bletch, and Canberra pop sensations Staypuft(R.I.P).
Since that time, Beaver have transformed their sound to make it even more diverse and contrasting than ever. The band play a mixture of musical styles which centre around rock with funky guitar.
