Now, if cows grew on trees
I live in a place too small to be
So I think up silly things
To be in a jug is quite a good thing
If cows grew on trees
Well, you see the need for a need
Will the wind blow through the hills?
Off to see what I can do
And when cows do grow on trees
Do cows grow on trees?
That cows grow on trees!
I wonder where I'd be?
Let the winds blow through the hills
And say "how would we know?"
The many things that I long to see
To help me get along
Once in a while I write them down
And that's how I wrote this song
To be safe and snug and able to sing
Would they be shady enough for me?
Or would they be poisonous fruit??
Or would they be an edible root???
Has grown much to strong!
I've tried everything but all in vain
So still I sing this song
And make my empty heart be still?
About the animals at the zoo
Do you think that they'll be fine?
Now I think they'll be a preoccupation of mine
Would I still be me?
Would turnips be hatched from eggs??
Would spiders have two legs???
It may be silly but I have to believe
And they provide solace for me!!
And they are not poisonous fruits!!!
But pleasant and tasty edible roots!!!!
