A BLAST FROM THE PAST!

"A BLAST FROM THE PAST," Harvey's highly acclaimed tribute to the roots of rock and roll, has been extended indefinitely after the most successful opening of any cabaret show in Harvey's 50 year history.

"BLAST" combines the glitter of a showroom revue with the energy and staging techniques of a concert.

The show drew such big crowds and rave reviews during it's first four months that Harvey's decided to give Lake Tahoe visitors and locals additional opportunities to enjoy the family oriented, audience participation show.

One of the big reasons for the appeal of "BLAST" is the interaction between the cast, the live five piece band and the audience, which plays a big role in the show and sends spectators home with big smiles.

Produced, directed and choreographed by three time Emmy Award nominee Anita Mann, "BLAST" takes the audience on a multimedia musical trip through the 50's, 60's, and 70's, with a touch of the 80's.

The 13 member cast features Phil "Fang" Volk, original and long time bass player with Paul Revere and the Raiders and Gene Barry Hill, a 5 year member of the Fifth Dimension singing group, in the roles they created for this review when it was originally staged in Hollywood.

"BLAST" centers around the trials and tribulations of eight teenagers growing up at the mythical Harvey's High School. Told in fast paced song and dance, the show is backed by the Elvis hairdoed Harvey's High Hotshots, a live musical group, which remains on stage during the entire show.
