When they started: Hmmm... Good question! I'll hafta remember to answer it some time! :)
Where they're from: Newfoundland
Members:
Patrick Moran: vocals, fiddle, electric guitar, lead, accordian
Larry Foley: vocals, accoustic guitar, electric guitar, lead, mandolin
Brian Kenny: accoustic bass, electric bass
Bob Hiscock: drums, percussion
Where they met: Another good question! There's another one that I'm gonna hafta remember to answer some day! :)
Other info: The Punters are definitely a band worth seeing. Their shows are highly energetic, and there's a little something for everyone! Combining traditional folk music with modern pop music, they create a combination that's hard to resist. Although these guys don't appreciate being compared to the ever popular Great Big Sea (or so I'm told), the best way to describe them, is as "Great Big Sea-plugged". But if anyone asks, I didn't say that! :)
