As many of you more than likely already know, on July 9, 2001 AJ checked himself into a rehab facility due to depression and acohol abuse and will be there for 30 days. I feel that this is a great a great step of courage and strength for AJ as well as the rest of the Boys. I'm very proud of all of them and I fully support AJ and always will. I know you can make it through this AJ.

BACKSTREET BOYS CLAIM INTERNATIONAL RECORD WITH NEW ALBUM
Wednesday November 29 12:58 AM ET
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Pop idols the Backstreet Boys (news - web sites)
sold five million copies of their new album in its first week of worldwide
release, setting a new international record, the group's publicist said
Tuesday.
In the United States alone, ``Black & Blue'' (Jive) sold 1.6 million units
in the six days from its Nov. 21 street date, enough to replace the Beatles
at the top of the charts.
The Backstreet Boys can lay claim as the first act to achieve million-plus
first-week U.S. sales with back-to-back albums, said publicity firm Mitch
Schneider Organization (MSO). Their last album, ``Millennium,'' debuted with
a then-record 1.1 million copies in May 1999. Its worldwide sales stand at
more than 30 million, MSO said.
Details of the previous international record for an album's first week sales
were not given in the statement.
``Black & Blue'' is already multi-platinum in Canada (5 times), Japan,
Korea, Mexico and Venezuela; platinum in Arabia (Gulf), Argentina, Brazil,
Colombia, Denmark, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand,
Philippines, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States; and gold in
Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal,
Sweden, Switzerland and the U.K. Different countries have different
definitions of gold and platinum.

The Burger King promotion will be ending in a few days. It included 3 collectible cd's with live songs from the Millennium tour, a video, and a figurine for each of the Boys' characters in the Backstreet Project. Also, the new single off of their upcoming album entitled "Black and Blue" has already been released on the radio stations and is doing very well from what I'm hearing. On one of my local radio stations it was played only one time and the very next night it was number 5 or our top 5 at 9. Their new album "Black and Blue" will be out November 21st. Also, two more things not to forget...tomorrow (October 3rd) Kevin's 29th birthday, be sure and wish him a happy birthday and the second thing is October 7th is Official BSB Day in Orlando, FL.

A Christian Academy in Texas has suspended some students (4 I believe) for attending a local Backstreet Boys concert. The school described the Boys' music as promoting "values that would be contrary to Biblical values."

"The One" is going to officially be the new BSB single as voted by us, the fans, on mtv.com. It was a very close call between "The One" and "Don't Want You Back" but after Nick was on the phone on TRL and said that he would've chosen "The One" ironically the votes for it surpassed "Don't Want You Back". Also, AJ and Howie were on the Juno Awards presenting.
AJ is starting another Johnny Suede Tour eventually but as Johnny No Name due to the fact that there was a movie a few years ago named "Johnny Suede" and they supposedly legally own the name. (In my opinion...who cares?!? It's just a nick name and half of the people never even knew that it was a movie! I will still continue to refer to him as Johnny Suede)

The Backstreet Boys have been given the keys to the city of Minneapolis. They have had yet another official "Backstreet Boys Day" named after them in Houston, TX.
