Before tonight's show, I was going through the worst Elton withdrawals.  So, as you fellowe EJ fans can imagine, I was VERY excited about going to see him.  My mom finally agreed to go to the show with me.  I've been after her for so long to go.  She's always said no, but she finally gave in.  I guarenteed her a fantastic time.  And I didn't break my guarentee!

We were very happy when we picked up our tickets at the Will Call window.  Sixth row!  When we got to our seats, my mom was thrilled to see how close we were.  I think her exact words were, "This is awesome, Janet!".  I asked security about going to the stage and I was informed that only the first three rows were able to go up.  I was a little bummed.  And my pleading didn't work with security either.

Elton came out wearing a black suit and dark sunglasses.  He started the show off with the best opening...Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding.  Elton was in a fantastic mood, lots of talking, lots of interaction with the audience, and kept on saying how much he loves Atlanta.  Atlanta loves Elton too!  He did the best version of Rocket Man I have ever heard.  I think that was my favorite of the night.  I also loved Come Down In Time.  I have never heard it live and Elton sang it beautifully.  Gave me goosebumps.  We met some great people that were sitting next to us and during This Train Don't Stop There Anymore, we all put our arms around each other's shoulders and started to sway.  I even got the other two guys on the other side to join in.  Elton fans are so much fun.

After Levon, security started to let the first three rows up.  I so wanted to go up too, but they were very strict on only the three rows going up.  After a few minutes I decided to see if they'd let me sit in the empty seats in the second row.  They allowed me to.  Then I saw a couple fans ask if they could go to the stage and they said ok.  I then went back to my seat to get my bag and went up to the stage with no problem.  Just in time too!  Elton had started the autograph sweep and was heading to my end of the stage.  I had my Lion King DVD and held it up over everyone else.  Elton stood infront of us, stopped and then sighed as if he was out of breath.  He then took my DVD and signed it.  YAY!  I was so excited.  I looked back to my mom and waved my DVD and she cheered for me.  Elton sat back down at the piano and did a few more songs.  He then thanked Atlanta and then waved goodbye.

What a great night!  Elton just gets better and better.  I asked my mom how she liked her first Elton show and she said she truely enjoyed it, that it was better than she ever thought it would be.  I think I converted her into Eltonism.  Haha.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the night:
