Jane Air

First of all the band is currently 4-piece:

Adam - guitar, vocals, beer
Mike - bass, intelligence, good looks, etc....
Veronique - keyboards, the only one with musical talent
Ivan - drum dude

Now the boring bit...

The band started a long, long time ago during the grunge scene, back then Adam was playing with Ed (you don't need to know). Soon after Mike joined as bassist and the band, heavily influenced by Nirvana type tunes, geared up for their first gig. Soon after that Ed quit (we were THAT bad), leaving Mike and Adam to team up with Ivan.

During this period Mike and Adam were developing a Jane Air sound, though slightly impeded by Ivan's punk style were looking for new influences. They stumbled across Rob, who was not new to exploring different styles and sounds and the band was allowed the musical freedom that was needed.

They quickly recorded a demo at Temple Studios and played a couple of gigs late in 1997. Since then though their musical direction has continued to develop and a whole new bunch of songs are in the making, into what they hope would be labelled as the Jane Air sound.

Unfortunately Rob quit the band, following which Ivan was re-recruited, who added a consistency and energy missing with Rob. Mike and Adam matured since their last stint with Ivan, and all the early problems were gone.

However the songs began to sound empty, like a compromise in some way. They had always discussed the benefits of a fourth member, and the recruitment of a keyboardist would add much colour to the songs, and help in writing new stuff. Veronique, musically mature well beyond her years has added that vital final touch.

Now the currenty thingy news...

Looking for gigs, will keep you posted.

At the moment we're trying to beef up our page a little more - hopefully we'll get our hands on a scanner so we could post some fast live action pics of our gigs, and maybe some beautiful pictures of ourselves. Hmmm, such content might make people think this is a porn site.... :)
