Chapter One

" ' I walked out on stage. The screaming rose another few decables. I walked over to the microphone.

"Hey All!" I shouted. Signs with my name written across it were being held up. This was it. My big break. I had finally found what made me truly happy.'

I closed the book. Another Hanson fiction book that someone had created.

'Bored, bored, bored.' I thought. I still couldn't believe I had just said good bye to everyone I knew and was heading to a place I didn't belong."

Amber Stopped writing.

"Why bother?" she sighed. Writing it was just as hard as thinking about it. Besides, she was sure she wasn't going to want it in the future anytime. This had to be the worst thing that had EVER happened to her. That, and it was too difficult to read anyway with all the tear stains, and unreadable writing because the bouncy jeep caused her pen to go flying everywhere. How could her mother do this to her? Drag her millions of miles away from her home, where she grown up, and had just found her place in society. But no. Her mom HAD to get the nursing job as far away as possible. She placed her warm head against the cold window and began to think. As she did so, she watched all the trees go by. Trees. Definitely not one thing about Washington she'd miss. Before long, she was asleep.

"Zachary Hanson! You just ate lunch! What are you doing with that apple?" Diana, his mother, asked.

"Um.... I was planning to eat it."

She sighed, "At least it's healthy. Oh, before I forget, you and your brothers don't have plans this afternoon, around 3:30, do you?"

"Actually, we were planning to go play some laser tag."

"Well, I'm sure you're not planning to cancel something as important as that.." she rolled her eyes, "so I guess I'll have to ask the new neighbor girl."

"Who?" Zac asked, his ears perking up, realizing he had heard the word "girl".

"The our soon-to-be-new neighbors have a girl around thirteen, fourteen, fifteen... something like that. She can always babysit, I guess."

"Hum.." Zac thought to himself and ran quickly to his room and shut the door. Taylor and Isaac looked at their little brother, not too happy to be interrupted.

"What, Zac?" Ike asked, looking very annoyed.

"Well, I just found out some stuff about our new neighbors..."

"OOH! What?" Taylor asked, sitting up.

"Well, they've got an older girl in the family..."

"Yeah, keep going..." Isaac said, beginning to get interested.

"Somewhere around our age, Tay..."

"So?" Tay said, trying to act like he didn't care.

"SOO, Mom needs a babysitter for Mack, Jess, and Avey while we're out playing laser tag, and she's with Zöe, and she was thinking about asking this girl to do it."

"Zac, what's your point?" Ike asked.

"My point is that if she's babysitting and we get home before Mom..."

"We can get a chance to meet her! I get it!" Tay said, perking up.

"Whatever. It all depends on if we get done with our plans soon enough. We don't have to worry.ind She shows up at three-thirty." Ike explained. Zac and Tay both looked up at the top bunk where Isaac was a little confused about how he knew that.

"What? News spreads fast in this house." he shrugged sheepishly.
