Now your free,

that's what you want,

you looked me in the eyes

and said "I need my freedom".

Now that's what you have.

Free to do as you please,

free to choose for yourself,

free to love who you want.

Now you're happy,

unbound no more.

You've won your emancipation,

but at what price?

You say you still love me,

you say you still need me,

you say you still care,

but I cannot have you.

So now I must regain my own freedom,

I must free myself from you,

start a new life,

without you.
