When Daniel was 11-years-old, his favorite band was The Cars. His parents owned a big deluxe entertainment system with a Hi-Fi stereo turntable and AM/FM radio. Daniel would spend hours in front of it with big clunky headphones on, listening to the likes of Patti Smith, The Missing Persons, The B-52s, and Blondie. His main passion in life was playing keyboards. He was in a band called "Modern Art" with his friend, Scott Milton, who lived three streets over. Daniel played a Casio keyboard and a xylophone. Scott played drums. For the first two years, Scott couldn't afford a drum set so he used all his mom's pots and pans. Daniel and Scott drove the neighbors crazy. They sang songs about typical New Wave topics, such as wearing wrap-around sunglasses, and dancing with a space alien.
They were two New Hampshire pre-teen dreamers who envisioned a future of New Wave stardom just looming around the corner. But it was just the beginning...
