THE TRAGICALLY HIP

Since way back (1988), I've been a huge fan of The Tragically Hip. They're even more endearing to me because I met my husband at a Hip concert in Rochester. I've seen The Hip in concert 26 times and counting! I've been fortunate enough to meet the band several times! I've scanned in some of my pictures for you to check out! More to follow, so check back

Me and Gord (it's an oldie, but a goodie)...and then us again in 09/2004

Gord chillin' before a show in NYC, talking on his cell phone...and then again solo!

My Fave Hip Moment: Every time I hung with the band. But especially when I hung with Gord Downie in 1993 up in Kingston...and a close second is shootin' the breeze with Robbie Baker for an hour just talking hockey!!

My Fave Hip Concert: Toss up. Definitely when I saw them at Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto (intimate concert) in 1988. But I also loved the show in Toledo in 1998 (for musical content). But probably the one dearest to me was the Rochester show in 1998, because that's when I met my hubby, Dave.

A great shot we took of Rob, and later got signed

"I'd say we re a peppy little five piece combo of eclectic/post - modern/experimental traditionalists, or maybe a jazz/blues/raga/roots/rock band with a heavy metal/folk/rap sensibility." - Robbie Baker
