Dream In Color
I live my life each and every day
Seeing the world in shades of gray,
And all the moments...filmed in black and white
And the contrast shows my lack of life
The emptiness never satisfies,
So I settle in and await the night
And the image comes like a razor blade, so much sharper than a
knife
Cutting through reality and then I begin to realize
That I dream in color...I dream in color.
My life seems like a matinee
Seeing all the silent pictures play
Then retracing all the scenes...,running through my head.
Now the last time I was at
this show
The stars didn't always seem to come and go,
But the credits roll on at the very end.
And the image comes like a razor blade, so much sharper than a
knife
Cutting through reality and then I begin to realize
That I dream in color...I dream in color.
My story's told in a comic book
The unassuming man in a three piece suit.
The basis for all...mild mannered men.
There isn't any super-hero strength
Left in the world to make a change,
But I'll try...That's the way I am.
And the night comes like a razor blade, so much sharper than a
knife
Cutting through reality and then I begin to realize
That I dream in color...I dream in color.
