This movie is one of my "guilty pleasures".

Pictured below is Olivia Newton-John as "Kira" the muse.

To the right is Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly dancing it up to a song called "Whenever You're Away From Me".

Yeah, I'm an avid comic book reader. As a little kid, I remember going to the local Rexall Drug store with my older brother, Dave, and picking out a comic book to take home and read. Often I would come home with a SpiderMan comic, or sometimes a Batman or Superman. I just wish that comic books still cost thirtyfive cents, like the good old days.

Men Without Hats
One of my favorite bands. Everybody remembers them for their hit single "The Safety Dance", but this
band from Canada actually released 7 albums in all. They had two songs reach the charts in the USA with "The Safety Dance" and "Pop Goes the World". Their true talent is hidden in many of their songs that never
received much airlplay, and in turn the band called it quits in the late 1990's.

-You can dance if you want to!

Terry Brooks is my favorite author of the science fiction and fantasy genre. He wrote his first book, The Sword of Shannara, in 1977. He also was a practicing attorney at the time. The Sword of Shannara spent more than 5 months as a New York Times bestseller.

One of the coolest movies ever made. This movie took computer animation into a whole new direction. The musical score by Wendy Carlos is awesome. And, all in all, the story is still awesome, albeit a bit outdated.
