5 April 2003,

I am Tweeturus Completerus! (Latin word for done with T-37’s).  We tracked to our Phase 3 jets on Thursday and had a smash-bang fall down rip roaring Track Select party last night (which explains why I can barely stand up today).  All in all, not too shabby a way to end the Tweet Phase.   Many people had to walk home last night, job well done.

I am going to be flying a T-1 for the rest of pilot training.   In the civilian world it is a BeechJet 400A or something like that.  I have to be honest, having already had our first systems class (basic overview of the T-1), there are things in this plane that I didn’t even know existed.  I was wowed for the entire 1&1/2 hour class.  I think flying this jet is gonna be awesome.  There are so many bells and whistles and beeps and squeaks.  We stepped out of the Tweet (made circa 80 b.c.) and hopped into a jet that was made in the 80’s.  Oh man, this is the type of plane I have always wanted to fly.  Always.

I will go into depth about the T-1 as soon as I learn a little bit more about it, but you can expect great things (fun) if you decide to go to a T-1.  The IP’s seem like a cool bunch of folks and I think we are going to get along well (My Tweet IP’s were cool too, so I have high standards).  We started immediately after Track Select, we went over to our new squadron and filled out paperwork and watched a video.   The flight room is TINY and you should plan on hearing me bitch and moan about that in the upcoming months.  I am not a good at being crammed into a room with 34 other people and told to study.  Pisstivity will be rising.

Other than that, not a whole lot else, we are back in academics for the next 3 weeks and then we do it all over again, dollar rides, check-rides, the whole bit.  I will be writing more, I hope.  Also, I will get the picture of me and the Miller Girls scanned and up on the site asap.  Hhmmmmm miiiillllleeerrr girls.  Ooops, the wife is calling, gotta go, peas.
