Hadrians Wall-August 24

This weeks Canadian Musician's of the Week, is Hadrian's Wall! They are a unique arrangement of traditional and contemporary Scottish, Irish, Canadian Celtic, and original music. They've shared the stage with Natalie MacMaster, Rawlin's Cross, McGinty, Seven Nations, and many more. They have two cds right now, their self titled one was released in the spring of 1996, and there newest one, Glengarry. There is also supposed to be a new one coming out in the new year. The band was formed in 1995 by Nelson MacPherson who plays Button Accordian, and vocals, Neil Emberg, Acoustic Guitar, Tin whistle, and vocals, Terry O'Farrell, Electric Bass, Acoustic Guitars, and vocals, and Richard Irwin, Drum kit, Irish Bodhran, and vocals. The 2 newest members are Bruce Blaney, Bagpipes, bodhran and vocals, and Brian Flynn fiddle, madolin, guitars, tin whistle, and vocals. At their concerts they encourage their audience to join in by clapping, dancing, and singing along. For more information, you can go here. They have another site that is being made but I don't have an address for that yet. Thats all I have for now, so vote for next weeks Canadian Musician(s) of the week at my e-mail. Cheers! Rayna
