Discography

The Masterplan
1. Acquiesce: A very good rock song that as Oasis puts it is one of those all-time "shoulda been an A-side" numbers. Sung great by both Liam and Noel, Noel sings the chorus.

2. Underneath The Sky: Another very good Oasis song that never made it on to any albums. Noel cites this as one of his favorite songs and was inspired by a pocket-book of travellers' quotes.

3. Talk Tonight: One of Noels best sung songs. Great acousitc number. Recorded in Texas on the US tour.

4. Going Nowhere: A Be Here Now influenced song that was recorded after the albums completion. Great use of piano, brass, and horns to help give this song a touch of Burt Bacharach atmosphere. Only Noel and Alan were present for this recording. Once again another great B-side.

5. Fade Away: A very punk rock song. Very loud and is from the early days of the band.

6. The Swamp Song: Great instrumental of rock'n'roll power. Also seen on (Whats the Story) Morning Glory?

7. I Am The Walrus: One of the all-time greatest Beatle songs and one of my personal favorites. Oasis takes a great stab at doing it live and comes out pretty good. Although nothing beats the original.

8. Listen Up: A nice little Oasis song with a guitar solo in the middle that is much longer on other versions.

9. Rockin' Chair: An excellent Oasis song from ealy '95. Good vocals from Liam and a favorite among Oasis fans.

10. Half The World Away: Another acousitc song sung by Noel. Great job done by Noel. Paul Weller's personal favorite Oasis track.

11. (Its Good) To Be Free: An ok song with a strange circus ending.

12. Stay Young: A very poppy song and another should've been an A-side that was dumped for Magic Pie. A good rocker and cool song.

13. Headshrinker: A punk influenced song recorded around the time of Some Might Say. Not half bad.

14. The Masterplan: One of Oasis' greatest songs. A Classic. Sung by Noel, he considers it his finest piece of work and we can all see why!
A collection of some of Oasis's greatest B-sides. A very good album even for B-sides and a must have for any Oasis fan. Released last fall.
Be Here Now
1. D'You Know What I mean? : The first single off Be Here Now and a great rock song. shows some of the similar features as Champagne Supernova and has a Led Zeppelin type feel with the wall of sound created by the multiple guitar tracks. Great opening to the album.

2. My Big Mouth: Previewed several months before the release of the album, it is very loud, noisy and an ok song.

3. Magic Pie: The only song sung by Noel on the album and is an underated hit. Its calm rock song with a jazzy ending. Noel says the line, "an extraordinary guy could never have an ordinary day", is about Liam.

4. Stand By Me: One of Oasis' greatest ballads and fits into the same class as Wonderwall. Great singing by Liam too!

5. I Hope, I Think, I Know: A very poppy song and as Noel say is a lesser known good Oasis song. Great chorus and lyrics. Liam shows attitude while singing it.

6. The Girl In The Dirty Shirt: This song is about Noels wife Meg, pretty good song and Meg didn't even want it on the album.

7. Fade In-Out: The first song by Oasis that has a touch of the blues and very very different from the rest of their songs. Liam shows some of his best vocals on this song.

8. Don't Go Away: One of the best Oasis songs ever. Another great ballad like Wonderwall and Stand By Me, maybe even better. Huge hit song and has some of Noels best lyrics and vocals by Liam. Written about Noel's mom when he thought she had cancer. Classic song!

9. Be Here Now: The title track of the album. A good rock song that Oasis used to open up their concerts on the Be Here Now tour. Catchy lyrics.

10. All Around The World: Just a great song, one of their best. Its over 9 minutes long powered by an orchestra that really brings it out. Noel believes if he had entered it into the Eurovison Song Contest it would have won easily. Also a great video.

11. It's Getting Better(Man!): Another rocker that was previewed months before the albums release.

12. All Around The World (Reprise): The final moments of the album and is just a instrumental continuation of All Around The World. A pretty cool song and great closing to the album.
Be Here Now is their third studio album and the best work they have done yet. Just a masterpiece and I highly recommend it for any music fan. Released in August of '97 and has sold 10 million copies worldwide.

The second release of Oasis takes the band to the next level and is one of the best albums ever. Its in the same class as Be Here Now and might be just as good. Awesome album and has sold 15 million copies since release in oct. of '95.
