How to Backside Darkslide

Darkslides as explained by Rodney Mullen
1. On a historical note, this trick was made famous by Rodney Mullen. Also keep in mind this trick will mess up your grip tape, because the board is sliding on the grip tape side surface (so use an old board or something).
2. Setup for a kickflip as you approach the obstacle. Turn 90 degrees and flip the board one half rotation.
3. Land your feet on the nose and tail of the board.
4. Getting out of the trick is especially hard. It may help to practice this step and get it down first.
5. To get out fakie, initiate a shove-it movement with your front foot. This will pressure the board into flipping right side up and rotating back to its original orientation.
6. Land and roll away. The pressure-type flip at the end is challenging so don't get discouraged.
