Pump in a Ramp

1. Pumping in a ramp allows you to maintain your speed on a ramp and keep a run going without having to drop in again similar to how a person on a swing keeps going until they stop swinging.
2. Going up the ramp, you're stretching your knees and pushing your board up to go as high as possible.
3. As you come down the ramp you're pushing all your weight down to force your board forward.
4. You can also pump anywhere there are transitions, for example, skating in parks is easier since you keep your speed up without pushing.
5. This motion just takes some getting used to because odds are it won't seem to work at first but you'll eventually get it.
6. A lot of people like to swing their arms as well so try that if it works for you.
