Black Oak Arkansas @ the Mason Jar
Phoenix AZ
Okay, so why the hell is some hillybilly ass southern rock band on my web page? I need to give you some background information. All of this will be repeated in my little bio thing, but I'm from Louisville, KY. I'm not a west coast hipster at all! I grew up to the sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, the Allman Brothers, and other bands who will never be caught live in lipstick and fishnet stockings. I also recall various dispicable contemporary country-western hack crap my parents listened to ... I was introduced to Black Oak and Jim Dandy in a near-death experience at a honky tonk here in Phoenix. Though I do vaguely remember a character named Dave, an old redneck in my hometown, mentioning them. He also introduced me to that fabulous whiskey, Yukon Jack... I didn't include the live photos because they looked terrible. I've never had good pics from the Mason Jar. The lighting is poor in there, and even 400 speed film and a good flash doesn't help. These were taken behind the club while the band was mingling with fans and the roadies were loading the equipment into the bus. My friend Matt Loyland and I attended this show and had a fuckin' great time so what's it to ya? Yee Haw!!!!

Here I am talking to Mr. Jim Dandy and getting Matt's football jersey signed.
This is a very strange girl I see at the Mason Jar sometimes. Always with the Halloween blood on her face and some black velvet dress. Very short, and very cute. All I know about her is that she's 25, from Jersey, and speaks Italian.
More Photos Soon!
