Antidote, a band formed by members of Chumbawamba and The Ex released one EP (Destroy Fascism!) in 1986, and a while later this EP showed up, probably a bootleg. It has lower sound quality than Destroy Fascism, but is still a good bit of listening in its own right.
Fuck Off - Rip Off
They supply, we demand, glossy pictures of the band
Managers and agencies nodding dumbly all say yes
Fuck off, rip off
(repeats)
Selling product, shit
If you don't like it, don't buy it
Can't Think - Must Work
Out of the offices, faces grey
All of the zombies look the other way
Scared of meeting face to face
Scared to let strangers into their space
Out of the offices, faces grey
All of the zombies look the other way
Scared of meeting face to face
Scared to let strangers into their space
Can't think, must work
(repeats)
Too scared to accept that the life they lead
Is based on pain and death and greed
Can't think, must work
(repeats)
Too busy working to question, doubt
Unless you think (?) you'll never find out
Flowers
Flowers are for adding color to fields
Flowers are for splashing scent on hills
Flowers are not for cutting and splitting
And wearing on suits at weddings and funerals
The Sun
The biggest insult to my intelligence
The smelliest most obscene, disgusting, pile of fucking shit I have ever smelt
Is The Sun
The most reactionary, lie-filled, racist, sexist crap that I have ever read
Is The Sun
And that dosn't mean any of the others are any fucking better
They're all fucking shit
Plastic Bullets
The British police have a stockpile of plastic bullets
Ready for use, these bullets have killed people in Ireland
And soon they'll kill people here, too
And soon they'll kill people here, too
Money
Talk about money
Talk about oppression
Investing in death
And the earth's destruction
Killing the earth
Bit by bit
Financing war
To make more profit
Money doesn't make the world go 'round
It stops it dead
Dead
(repeats)
R.T.Z. & B.P... Why?
The R.T.Z. and B.P. multinational conspiracy
Took the land of aboriginees and killed the earth at Roxby
Uranium mined on stolen land
For nuclear power and nuclear weapons and waste
Waste
(repeats)
The powerful bleed the earth dry
Blind to the morality of money making as people die
Ask R.T.Z. and B.P. why?
Why?
(repeats)
Nuclear Power? No Thanks!
They tell us Sizewell's safe and clean
White rooms, white coats, white heat, white lies
Nuclear power?
No thanks
From the mines of Namibia
Black faces, black truncheons, grey death, white bosses
Nuclear power?
Not today, thank you
Dig the earth to kill the earth
Green fields, green valleys, green life, green money
Nuclear power?
No thanks
(?)
Uranium Bribery Never Fails
Fascism's in fashion again
What's the color of your skin?
In South Africa
In shanty towns behind the guards bind the people, kick them hard, pack the children off
to school 'education'--fascist rule, and Botha smiles for Europe's press
Money makes them all say yes, trading links and weapons, sales
Uranium bribery never fails
Never fails, never fails
Why Can't We Sing About Something Nice?
(cut up vocals)
Why can't we sing about something nice?
Because it's only in exposing the shit
That we appreciate the passion
In order to find out what's nice
We have to wade through the oppression
