Thanks to Kelly for her amazing experience!! This one is really great, so read it!!
For my 14th birthday, my mom somehow managed to get my friend, Christen, and I front row center seats to see 'N Sync 'N Concert at Tower Theater in Philadelphia on November 28th! We were sooo excited! My mom let me get my hair cut and highlighted, she let me get my nails done, and we made all of these huge posters to hold up. This was a big deal for us; we bought the guys lots of presents to throw up on stage. For Lance, I bought him a single rose with a card that included a poem that I had written all about him, just for him. I also got him a stuffed Tazmanian Devil since Taz is his favorite cartoon character. I had a gold horse necklace charm from way back and it was 14 karat gold with a horseshoe and a horsehead on it. Since we both love horses so much, I really wanted him to have it. I didn't know how to get it to him, but all I knew was that he would get it somehow. For JC, I had gotten him a Hard Rock Cafe menu since he collects them and since my birthday party was there. I planned to throw that onstage.
I was so determined to meet them. I was ready to give all of my birthday money-$200-to the security guards just to get backstage. Now that I look back on that now, I know that would have been impossible. I didn't know what was going to happen, but I made sure that I was prepared for both the best and the worst. Incase we did meet them, we brought our official books to be signed. Our limo arrived at my house at exactly 4:00 PM. We were so excited to see 'N Sync again, after seeing them at the Monster VIII almost 2 months before.
I crawled into the limousine fully equipped with two disposable cameras, my good Advantix camera, our huge 6 glittered signs, that said, "We Love You Lance!, We Love You JC!, We Love You Justin!, We Love You Joey!, and We Love You Chris!" We also took bubbles, and presents for the guys. For the next concert in March, Christen and I are going to make a sign that says "Heaven Is Missing Five Angels." Talk about TONZ of stuff! Christen and I could hardly control ourselves, after all, we had waited over two months for this moment to come! My dad brought out his video camera to video tape me opening up my birthday card from my parents. No surprise to me, he lugs that thing around just as much as Joey brings his around with him. I tore open the envelope not expecting any money since they had spent about $2,000 on me for my birthday party and my birthday present- the concert. I read the card carefully, not missing a word. My mother had written something in the card, so my eyes automatically read that first. Here's what the card said:
Dear Kelly, This year your Dad and I wanted to give you a gift that you will never forget! We have arranged for you and Christen to meet "you know who" at 6 o'clock prior to the concert. (Compliments of Glen Kalina at Q-102.) We hope this makes you happy because we love you very much!
I didn't know what to do, so I handed the card over to Christen and in the shakiest voice I've ever heard, I said, "OHMIGOD...Christen, read this!!!" Christen had just gotten to the part about meeting them when my father said in a very excited voice, "It's true!!!"
We screamed and I started crying. Careful not to smudge my eye make-up, I wiped the tears from my face. I had no idea about the whole thing, it was the biggest surprise I have ever had in my entire life! We screamed some more and I sobbed about how it was the best birthday present in the world and how much I love my parents. I started to get nervous and started obsessing over my make-up and hair. You know, asking how I look every 5 seconds!
Christen asked impatiently, "Are we there yet?!?" Hehe, that was funny! We were only on the bridge, not even in Philadelphia yet! To be able to get into the Meet 'N Greet room in Tower Theater, we had to be there by 5:30. Plenty of time! We arrived at Tower Theater only to see a mile long line of screaming fans. Obviously thinking we were 'N Sync, they waved at us and took pictures of the limo. It was so hilarious! We just had to get some of it on tape! Since we were really early, we drove to a parking lot to wait for about 45 minutes. It's amazing how fast time flies by when you're having fun! It was time to go back to Tower Theater to go into the Meet 'N Greet room! We got out of the limo and into the room with no problems. By now, my heart was beating a million miles a minute. I held Taz, JC's menu, Lance's rose and charm, and my official book to have signed. A guy selling glossy pictures of them came by and I bought an awesome recent picture of them for $5.00. One more thing to hold! Then he came back selling posters and I bought one of those too for $10.00. We waited a long time, but it turns out that they were way behind schuedule because they got lost on the Turnpike. I felt really bad when I heard that!
We waited for about an hour in there until something big happened. All of these girls outside started screaming and a really tall guy wearing a white backwards hat, yellow glasses, jeans, and a white shirt walked through the door. He politely rushed through the 25 people anxiously waiting to meet 'N Sync. He started running up the stairs and was looking down and bumped into me! "Oh, I'm sorry!" he said, looking up at me. I looked at his face and FROZE. It was Justin Timberlake himself, and he literally BUMPED INTO ME!!
He politely said, "Excuse me, excuse me!" Christen realized who it was while he was running up the stairs we were standing on. I screamed, "JUSTIN!" but he kept his face forward even though I saw him crack a smile. :o)
Minutes later, we could see Justin and Chris on stage through the theater's open doors. Christen screamed REALLY loud, "OHMIGOD!!" and I elbowed her laughing telling her to shut up!! We started laughing really hard!
She took a picture, and I said, "What are you doing?!"
She said, "Taking a picture!"
"It's not going to turn out," I said.
"I don't care!" Christen said.
Then the guys in charge of the Meet 'N Greet told us to line up against the wall so that they could ask everyone how we got to be there so that they could make sure we didn't just sneak in. When I blurted everything out, I was really relieved when he said, "Alright, you're fine." Then, he handed us REAL Meet 'N Greet VIP passes! They are sooo awesome! We even got to keep them! I'm framing mine! Anyway, we talked about what we were going to get signed since we could only have one thing signed. I decided to have my book signed, and so did Christen. Then they told us to line up in the middle of the floor. We stood there and talked to other fans about how great 'N Sync are. Then they started soundcheck. All five of them sang out their best to the music of "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" and to the harmonizing sound of the a cappella "O Holy Night." That was like a bonus for us because they didn't sing any Christmas songs in the real concert. They sounded so great in soundcheck, but I didn't have time to be nervous, I was too excited!
When I saw Lance walk through that door, I didn't know what to do. He appeared exactly how he looked in the video, he gave the same facial expressions that I expected him to when I first saw him. I just stood there staring at him. If you think they look hot in pictures, they're way hotter in person! I couldn't think of what to do, all I knew was that he was in the same room with me and that I had only seen him on videos before. (Close up, not counting stage.) I was thinking, watching Lance,'Ohmigod! He's walking, he's walking!!!!!!!!' Christen laughs at me now for thinking that when I first saw him, but wouldn't you think something stupid like that too if you saw them for the first time about 10 feet away from you?!? JC was the first to come to us. He was wearing an awesome black and red Fubu shirt, with jeans and his black and white W.W.J.D. bracelet. (I was wearing mine too!) He was sooo hot! He said, "Hey, how are you guys doin' tonight?"
"GREAT!!" I blurted out. He looked down at me and smiled. You know what happens when something really
exciting happens to you and you just say whatever comes to your mind? Well, I think this is what happened to Christen because all of the sudden, she started saying... "You guys are so wonderful, you're great, you're awesome, and I love you sooo much! You sounded great in rehearsal."
"Thanks," JC said, smiling. "That was soundcheck."
Then I got JC's attention again and I said a little more thoughtfully, "JC, this is for you," handing him the Hard Rock Cafe menu. It had a letter with a self addressed-stamped envelope for him to reply to me inclosed attached to the menu.
"Oh cool!" he said. That made me feel so great to make someone I love so much really happy! "Thank you so much," he said. I smiled when he looked down at me; I was speechless!
"Will you sign this for me?" I asked, holding out my book to him.
"Oh sure!" JC said.
"Thank you so much," I said, "you guys are awesome!"
JC flashed his killer smile when I asked if he could take a picture with us. "Sure, no problem!" he said. I smiled really big when JC put his arms around me and Christen while my parents snapped some pictures!
"Thanks JC," I said.
I really wanted one thing from all of them, and I was really surprised that I found the courage to ask him this question: Can I have a hug? He listened intently to the question and when I was done, he smiled, and said, "Sure!!!" I was so happy, I can't even describe it! He was sooo sweet and he was really comfortable to hold. I never wanted to
let go!
We pulled away from each other, (unfortunately) and he saw my face and smiled. I said "Ohmigod..."
He laughed and said, "Alright, well, I gotta go. Hey, nice to meet you guys!"
"Bye JC, thanks sooo much!" He smiled and waved at me. He smelled sooo good, but don't ask me what he was wearing! I was too intune to them to remember.
Joey was next. He was wearing a black shirt that said "AQUA" on it. He was wearing his favorite Superman necklace with jeans and a black Superman hat. He looked so good! He held out his hand and I shook it with a firm grip. (Hey! Maybe he thought I was strong for a 14 year old girl! THAT WOULD ROCK!) I asked him if we could get a picture with him, and he's like, "SURE!"
I smiled at him and he put his arms around me and Christen, and my parents took some pictures. We talked for a little bit and he was sooo nice! I looked over at JC to see what he was doing and I looked just at the right time to see him drop the menu I gave him. "Whoops!" was the first thing I heard come out of his mouth as he dropped to his knees to pick it up. I thought it was so cute! Joey had started talking to some other fans when I realized he never signed my book. I said in a really thoughtful voice, "Joey?"
He turned towards me and smiled. "Yes?" he asked.
"Can you sign this for me?" I asked.
"Sure!" he said, with a big smile. He signed it for me and in a really shaky voice, I asked him for a hug. He just smiled and he took me in his arms. A little surprised, I hugged him tight for about 5 seconds. He was sooo sweet, I'll never forget him. He smelled just as good as JC, but I still couldn't figure out his scent! We said our good-byes and he moved down the line to meet other fans.
Last, but certainly not least (I always say, 'save the best for last') was Lance. When I saw him, I didn't know what to do. He looked sooo hot with his blond spiked hair. His green eyes stared into mine and I looked deeply back into his. He was wearing a gray v-neck tee shirt. The border around the v-neck was white with a red stripe. Sound familiar? He was wearing it in the official video, *N Sync *N The Mix! I realized that and I thought it was sooo cute! He also wore blue jeans with white sneakers and a silver W.W.J.D. necklace. (I ended up going out and buying the same exact necklace a few days later! I'm really happy now that I know Lance and I wear the same necklace!) His gorgeous smile said it all for me. I was the first to talk to him. I said, "Lance, this is for you," holding my red rose out to him.
"Aww, thank you sooo much!" he said. I smiled at him and he smiled back. I stared at him with stars in my eyes, he was sooo much hotter than I expected him to be!
"And this too," I said, holding out my gold horse charm. I watched his face to see his reaction. He raised his eyebrows and looked at it for a second. He smiled and I said, "I've had it for a really long time and I really want you to
have it." He smiled at me.
Lance made a really cute face and said, "Well, if you've had it for a really long time, I don't want to take it from you!" he said, holding it back out to me.
"Oh, no, no, keep it, it's yours!" I said, still not believing that my favorite singer was standing about one foot in front of me! Lance still held the gold charm out to me and I pushed it back up to his chest. I smiled so big when I saw how sincere Lance's face looked and how appreciative his voice was when he said, "Aww, thank you soooooo much!" And when I say he says aww, he really did say AWW!!
Lance had the sexiest voice I have ever heard and the most gorgeous eyes I have ever seen. He spoke so deeply and so smoothly, it was to die for! I stared into his beautiful green eyes and I was easily lost. He kept that huge smile on his face the entire time. Christen said the first thing that came to her mind, "Lance, I love your hair!" she said.
"Oh really? Thanks," he said, laughing a little, but still flashing his amazing smile.
But she's not the only one who said something sort of strange. I had run out of things to say when I handed him the charm. I said sort of quietly, "It's real," meaning the charm was 14 karat gold. He didn't say anything when I said that, so I'm hoping he didn't even hear it. I'm just glad that my first words to him were carefully thought out before he came into the room. Christen handed Lance the Taz and I have a picture of how happy he looked when she handed it to him. It had a letter and a self-addressed stamped envelope enclosed with paper for them to reply to us.
"Will you sign this for me?" I asked, holding out my official book.
"Yeah, no problem!" Lance said. I smiled as Lance signed the outside cover of my book by his picture.
"Thank you sooo much," I said. "Can we have a picture with you?" we asked.
"Yeah, of course!" he said. We all smiled as Lance put his arms around us and my parents took lots of pictures. Lance is holding the rose, the Taz, and my horse charm in all the pictures, I think it's so cute! He's got his arms around us in the picture, but he's leaning towards me, which makes me really happy. My head is on his shoulder! He was sooo sweet! I think he was the most appreciative out of the 3 that I met. He dropped the card that I had given him with the rose and I picked it up.
I said, "Here, you dropped this, Lance."
"Oh, I'm sorry!" he said, almost if he had done something wrong.
"It's okay!" I said.
I asked him for a hug, and he didn't hesitate AT ALL which made me EXTREMELY happy. My mom said that
my face when I was in his arms was like OHMIGOD!!!! I still can't believe that I hugged my favorite guy of all time, Lance Bass of 'N Sync! It was my dream, and what do you know, I think dreams really do come true! (In my case, my biggest dream did!) He smiled at me and we held each other for about ten seconds. I laid my head on his shoulder holding him close to my heart. I didn't want to let go of him. He smelled so good and we hugged so closely...close enough for me to lay my head on his shoulder and close enough to feel his heart beating! I definitely had the most contact with him. He was so nice, so sweet, so hot, and plus, he was really comfortable to hold. I did figure out what scent Lance was wearing though, it was Ralph Lauren Polo Sport! He smelled soooo good! We pulled away from each other (again, unfortunately) and I had this look on my face like, ohmigod, I don't believe it! I said, "Ohmigod..."
He laughed and smiled at me. We talked for a little bit longer.
He was so sweet and nice to us! Now, I just stare at his picture in my room like there's nothing else in the world to think about. Sometimes it just hits me, I see these pictures and think...ohmigod...I actually met him, and it was my dream...AND IT HAPPENED! Sometimes I just think about it and I break down crying because I never really thought it would happen...but it did, and I am really glad I met them because now I know they're not just a bunch of stuck-up celebrities, they're just a bunch of really sweet, nice, regular, but awesome guys who really know how to sing and dance. Lance looked at me like he knew exactly what I wanted from him. He smiled, and said really quietly, "Aww..." He leaned over unexpectedly and gave me a kiss! I think he meant to aim for my cheek...but I guess I was on a role with luck that night...guess where he planted one RIGHT on me?! He kissed me...ON MY LIPS!! I was, ohmigod!! OHMIGOD, I still can't believe it! Lance, he, he, he kissed me!!!!!!!! I looked at him after the fateful moment and he smiled. I almost fainted! I covered my mouth with my hands and said..."OH MY GOD!!!!!" I can't believe that I just didn't die from melthing right there on the floor. But I kept my cool. He seemed to be really happy that he just completely changed someone's life around by doing just one simple thing. I said to him, "I hope that we can meet you again sometime, Lance."
He smiled and said, "I'm sure you will, sweetheart." Aww! He called me sweetheart! I can't believe it, he called me sweetheart, AND he kissed me!! It makes me wonder, did he think more of me than just a fan? I mean, why else would he kiss and call someone who idols him sweetheart all in about ten minutes?? I didn't see him hug any other fan, much less kiss them! Believe me, I had my eyes on him the ENTIRE time he was in that room! After that, he turned quite shy, I think he wasn't expecting to do that, and it just happened.
I said good-bye to Lance because security had said that was all that was coming out, and Justin and Chris would not be coming out to meet people. I was really disappointed, but at least Justin bumped into me and I got to see him run up the stairs, which isn't an everyday thing! I yelled good-bye to Lance as I was walking out the door, and I caught his attention because he turned towards me, smiled, and waved to me!
Outside, Christen and I talked about how great they are. I talked to Lance a lot and I even got a kiss from him!!! I think he really liked me! We stood outside and took pictures against all of the posters in the poster cases outside of Tower Theater. We have pictures of us holding up our VIP passes. Then we have pictures of us standing next to 'N Sync's red tour bus! It was so neat! We had just come out of the door from meeting them and not 5 minutes later, 2 girls walked up to us wanting to borrow our VIP passes. It's like, "Um, yeah, right!!" Actually, it's exactly what we said! We never would have seen our passes again.
We were let into Tower Theater first since we had just met them and because we had the VIP passes. We
snuck our cameras in and I bought an awesome shirt for $25.00. We walked into the theater to find our seats and we were very disappointed to see that two more rows had been added in front of us. Even though we weren't front row like we thought we had, I could still see perfectly because the guy in front of me was sitting down the entire time. (To my advantage!)
We met two really nice girls behind us who were supposed to have 2nd row seats. Their names were Natalie and Lisa. We talked to them until the show started. It got really dark and you could see people with glowers all over the theater. The man from Q-102, Glen Kalina, couldn't make it because he was sick. So, another DJ from Q-102 stepped up onstage to introduce Sweet Box, the girl who sings "Everything's Gonna Be Alright." I had no idea she was going to be there. She was okay, I wasn't totally impressed with her performance. Then, Britney Spears came out and opened for 'N Sync. She was a really great dancer. I have her single, "...Baby One More Time." I really like her a lot and she was really nice too. (But what I didn't like was the fact that there were rumors hanging around about her and Justin...and the fact that they were both in the same place made me SICK!) When she was finished with her act, she said, "Are you guys ready for 'N SYNC?!?" Everyone screamed and she left the stage. 'N Sync were almost ready to go onstage!
The lights dimmed again and the music started. They had a really awesome white light effect while they slowly walked onstage covered from head to toe in black capes. They turned their backs to us and turned around as soon as the music's beat took effect. They took their capes off and they were dressed in these really awesome white space suits and helmets so you couldn't tell who was who. (I could tell who was Lance since he's the shortest in the group.) They all danced these awesome moves to the Star Wars theme, only at a faster beat. When they removed their helmets, they started singing "Crazy For You."
Then they ripped off their white suits and wore really awesome jackets with crushed velvet pants and longsleeved shirts. JC was wearing royal blue, Justin was wearing baby blue (of course!), Lance was wearing hunter green, (of course, he looks so good in green with his blond hair!) Joey was wearing bright red, and Chris was wearing deep purple. They had all of these really awesome moves. After "Crazy For You" was over, they broke into "I Just Wanna Be With You." They sang everything so perfectly! Then, they all left the stage and each came on to introduce themselves. First was Joey, then was JC, then was Justin (who was sooo cute! He's like, "I really wanna get funky tonight, Philadelphia!") then was Chris, (while a stuffed animal was being thrown up onstage, it went right over his head and he tilted his head back all the way until it hit the ground. It was so cute!) and Lance was last. (See? Save the best for last!) They all gave a little speech about how great and how awesome it was to be back in Philadelphia! Here's exactly what JC said: "Wassup Philadelphia?! It's great to be back. It's where America was born!" then he put his hands out, and slapped them down at his sides. (How cute!) "Anyway, my name is JC..." he said.
Then they all came back onstage and sang a beautiful version of my favorite song on the album along with Lance's and Justin's, "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You," right after Lance gave his wonderful speech about how everyone has a special someone in their life whether it's their girlfriend, (No, they don't have any girlfriends! I asked Lance for the total truth when I met him and he said no!!! That includes Danielle Fishel! I HATE HER) boyfriend, husband, wife, mother, father, or just your best friend, you know that God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On them. Justin stared right at me, I swear for like 15 seconds, during this song! I guess I caught his attention because I knew all of their arms motions to the song. For like 10 seconds I was just staring at him, like, awww....sigh! And then, like the last 5 seconds I realized that Justin Randall Timberlake himself was staring, at ME! Out of all the girls of the audience, he picked ME to stare at for like 15 seconds! So after like, 10 seconds, I went crazy realizing that I, little old me, had caught Justin Randall Timberlake's attention for 15 seconds! I went nuts screaming and Justin smiled and laughed at me and I smiled right
back at him. I was on cloud nine!
They all walked offstage to change clothes and Justin hopped back onstage first in his baby blue Carolina Tarheels sweatshirt. (Of course!) He did this little rap thing by himself just making sounds into the microphone. Right after he was done, he'd hold his arms out and raise his eyebrows. It was sooo cute! Then all of the sudden, like it wasn't planned, Rubin, the drummer would start drumming away and Justin looked at the audience like, 'What the heck is he doing??' He did it like 5 times, it was sooo cute! I have a picure of Justin with his arms out and his eyebrows raised. It's SOOO cute! Then the rest of the guys ran out onstage with their sunglasses on. They all looked sooo hot, as usual! Lance was wearing a tan plaid shirt with a white shortsleeve shirt underneath with black jeans. JC was wearing a white tee shirt with a black sweater vest and black pants, and at first came out with the cutest little hat on! It later came off from dancing around so much! Joey wore a black Superman shirt that had the Superman symbol on it in red in white that said FREAK in the middle of it. He wore blue jeans and a blue longsleeve button down shirt over his Superman shirt, and Chris wore a really tight black shirt with blue jeans. They sang all of their a cappellas and I knew all of them! The songs included: Jive Talkin', Stayin' Alive, Gettin' Jiggy Wit It, How Deep Is Your Love, and If Ya'll Wanna Party Like We Do, If Ya'll Wanna Party Like Us Let Me Hear You Say Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah! (I love that one...it hypes me up!) I knew all of them, so I was singing them and I caught Lance's attention. He remembered me because he smiled, waved, and pointed at me so many times! I sang the songs while I held his attention. It may seem like he could have been waving to a certain girl to lots of people out there just like I said Justin was staring at me during "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You," but I know they were staring and waving at ME because Tower Theater is so small and so intimate, you can tell if they're smiling at you! It's so neat how intimate it is with the celebrities!
After they were finished singing their a cappellas, Justin said, "Hey Lance!"
"Yeah, Justin?" Lance asked.
"I wanna hear how well Philadelphia can sing!" Justin said.
"Okay!" Lance said.
They started singing "I Want You Back" and Justin held the microphone out to the audience while we sang "You're the one I want!" Then he brought the microphone back up to his lips and said, "LOUDER!" Then he put it out the the audience again and we screamed, "You're the one I need!" And he brought it back up to his lips and sang the rest of the song. At the end, he's like, "Very nice!" It was so cute! During the song, I caught his attention again by doing the movements that were part of their dance. He flashed me his amazing smile! I was SOOO happy! Right after that, they did "You Got It" and I loved watching them do that one awesome move that they do for that song. It's hard to explain how to do it, but it's so awesome, I love it! I was so glad when I saw them bring out their water guns to squirt the audience because I remembered it from the Monster VIII and because I was so hot, I felt like I was going to pass out because I hadn't eaten anything that day. Anyway, it was soooo hot, and I felt like I was going to pass out, but I still stood up strong and went crazy for the guys. They brought their guns out and I was so happy because I got soaked!! I was pretty smart to try and get Lance's attention because it worked, AGAIN!! And right at the right time too, because I gave him the signal to squirt me and give me all he's got, and he saw it! He squirted me RIGHT in the face and it felt so good. I laughed and screamed and he seemed happy that he had made one fan's night--mine.
After that, JC gave his speech about wanting to sing us a love song and about how girls have
everything--beautiful smiles, gorgeous eyes, and everything else. This made me blush so much! He was so sweet when I met him, I was just blown away by their kindness to their fans. He talked about how guys give girls everything but there was one thing that guys can't buy us girls. From seeing the show before, I knew about what JC was going to ask the audience...what guys can't buy girls, and it was pretty quiet because everyone was listening to what he had to say, and me, knowing the answer, was the first to scream, "LOVE, JC! LOVE!!!!!!!" He looked right at me and smiled! had They started singing "For The Girl Who Has Everything." And let me tell you this, I certainly felt like the girl who has everything because of what happened to me that night! JC smiled and waved to ME, which completely made my day, not to mention that I did get to meet 3 of them! It was definitely a night to remember, I'll remember it as long as I live.
Next, Chris said he wanted to talk about what drives us crazy. We all screamed, "YOU!!!" pointing to him. And he's like, "Me??" holding his hands up to his chest, and everyone went wild. He said, "Alright, this song is called "I Drive Myself Crazy" and ya'll can sing along if ya'll have the album." Of course I do!
Bringing it to a much faster beat and funkier sound, they started singing "Giddy Up" and I had started to blow my bubbles because I wanted to see if I could really get their attention. Well, now I know that it does work, at least with 'N Sync! They interact with their fans so much, you would not be disappointed if you went to one of their concerts. (And if you have been to one, you know what great entertainers they are! They keep my attention so well that I have my eyes on them the ENTIRE time!) It's full of high energy, and it's definitely a non-stop awesome show. Anyway, the bubbles did work, at least with 'N Sync!! I obviously caught JC's attention with the bubbles. I noticed him looking at me, so I tried to give him that look, like, you know that look, 'I love you and I really want you to think I look pretty!' (I wanted them to think I looked pretty since I had put so much effort in my appearance that night!) Anyway, I had him looking at me and I blew the bubbles some more. All of the sudden, a really big bubble that I had blown popped in my face and I was really surprised. I saw him laugh when I smiled because I thought it was funny. He laughed at me, pointed, and tilted his head back when he laughed, and that's how I knew he was laughing at me because he was looking right at me when the bubble popped. It was really unexpected so I looked really surprised when it happened--that's what made him laugh. Christen saw it too and she turned to me and we screamed like, "OHMIGOD!!" I was happy, I made JC laugh and he's the most serious guy of the group! He always says when he's asked what qualities his dream girl would have, he says, "I want someone who can make me laugh because I'm the serious guy of the group." I was like, ALRIGHT! I'm all yours, JC, just to let you know! (Even though I know he's not reading this!)
They went offstage for a costume change. They all came back out in black pants and vests with different color longsleeve shirts underneath of them. Lance was wearing green, (of course!!) Justin was wearing bright yellow, Chris was wearing blue, Joey was wearing red, and JC was wearing a very golden yellow. They did "Here We Go," and they split the theater up half and half. Our side was lead by Joey and Justin and side 2 was lead by Lance and JC. (:o( My two favorite 'N Syncers!) We were supposed to yell 'Yes yes yes, here we go' and side 2 was supposed to yell 'N Sync has got the flow!' The other side was louder and Justin asked us if we could be louder. He said, "Aww come on guys, that side is much louder than us! Can you guys get REAL loud for me?" I screamed really loud, that I didn't even know I had it in me, I screamed, "We can be louder, Justin!!!!!" I think he actually heard me because he looked in my direction and held his attention there for about 2 seconds. I think I was REALLY loud because my other friend, Diana, was five seats down from us and and says that she heard me scream it, and it was really loud with all the girls screaming their heads off.
"Step aside, Joey," Justin joked, "they all belong to me now!!" he pushed him behind him and stepped really close to the fans. I thought that was so adorable when he did that because I don't think it's part of their normal routine onstage from seeing the same show before and by reading other encounters. I would have remembered that at the Monster VIII, and he didn't say it there. It was so cute! They all just looked like they were having a blast up there!
They all said their good-byes and Joey said to "feel free to sing along because here comes "Tearin' Up My Heart!" I did all of the dance moves since I had learned them months before and rehearsed them like a million times. So on the video when Lance says that "Tearin' Up My Heart" is one of the highlights of the show because everyone knows the words and everyone goes crazy and TRIES to do the choreography. Justin had also said on the video that it means a lot to him when he sees fans doing the choreography to know that they had paid that much attention to it. Mark my words, I was not just TRYING to do the choreography, I knew the choreography from every single little move that they do. Anyway, I did all of the moves and I caught Lance's attention one more time when he pointed and smiled at me, he remembered me from when I met him, I think that kiss is what he remembered most! I held his attention easily and he was watching me do the choreography because he knew that I knew it. In the middle of "Tearin' Up My Heart," they did, "When I Say 'N, you say Sync!" I wasn't just screaming "Sync," I was screaming everything they were saying. And for this, I got Justin's attention and he looked at me kinda like, no no no, you're singing the wrong parts! It was really cute. I was really happy with my night, it was everything I thought, and wanted it to be. It was definitely the best night of my life and my 14th birthday will definitely be the one that I will remember for the rest of my life. They talked about coming back to Philadelphia on March 18th at the First Union Center. I'm really happy because I have really great tickets to go to that and the show sold out in like 7 minutes...and the First Union Center is a 40,000 seat stadium!!!!!! My mom is working on getting us backstage passes to that, and it may be a little easier this time since we know some Q-102 people who got us backstage last time, and also because my parents were in a limo a week after the concert, and there was a taped up tear in the seat. My dad was having a fit, and the limo driver said, "Oh, I'm sorry, but we had a musical group in here about a week ago and they ripped the seat."
Then my dad got really interested and said, "Oh really? Who'd you have in here?"
The limo driver responded with " 'N Sync." The last time they had someone in that same limo was when 'N Sync was in there, being driven to the concert at Tower Theater! I couldn't believe it, my parents had been in the same limo that 'N Sync was in when they went to the concert that I was at!!!! Later when I found out, I started screaming at her, "Why didn't you let me see the limo?????!!!!!!!"
She said, "I didn't know it was the same limo until we were half way to New York!"
"Well, how'd they rip the seat?" my dad asked.
The limo driver responded. "Well, it must have already been ripped a little bit because 3 of them were
wearing their chain wallets and when one of them was getting out of the limo, he sat up and it ripped the seat." I think it's so cute! That same limo service has a contract with Electric Factory who gets 'N Sync to Philadelphia every time they come, so that same limo service hauls all of Electric Factory's celebrities around. I told my mom that I wanted that same limo when we went to the First Union Center concert, and she said that they might be using it for 'N Sync. Then I said that if they're not using it, it's the one we want. She's all like, "Well, I think it might be their biggest limo and they'll need it for all the guys,"...that is, if it is their largest limo. The limo driver said that they were a very nice group of boys...very under control and not rowdy at all. And for everyone out there who throws up letters and notes up on stage...THEY DO READ THEM!!!! The driver said that they just kicked back and read the letters from the girls. Never knew that they do read them? Going to a concert soon?? Make sure that you write them your letter telling them how much they've inspired you and throw it onstage because they DO READ THEM!!!! I was so happy to hear that! But he also said that they just left the letters in the limo when they left, but don't get upset, at least they read what you had to say, right?? Ah! The limo driver gave my mom a number to a guy to call who can get us backstage. She's going to try to get us back again because we REALLY want to meet Justin and Chris, and I REALLY want to show JC, Lance, and Joey all the pictures from the last time we got to meet them. I think they might find them quite interesting! The necklace I gave to Lance I think might stick in his mind since he said he didn't want to take it from me because I'd had it for a long time. I really want to see if he remembers me from that. If not, I'll show him the picture and then hopefully he'll remember that because he's holding his rose, Taz, and the necklace I gave him all in his hands. It's so cute, but I felt bad because their hands were free until they came to us, and then they had to go down the rest of the line of fans holding something. I have a picture of JC holding my menu in the background, and it's also one of the pictures with Joey. I love that picture because JC is holding my menu! Anyway, this First Union Center concert is all the way in March, so if I end up getting backstage passes again, at least I'll be prepared and we'll know what we're going to say to them...unless my mom decides to keep it as a secret, AGAIN. I'm hoping she won't, I'll die if I can't know at least a week in advance! Anyway, that night was the best night of my entire life, and I will NEVER EVER forget it! I'm sending pictures to the fan club, I'm sure they'd love to see them! I'm the world's #1 'N Sync fan, and there is NOTHING that NO ONE can do to change that. Please look for me in the May '99 issue of TEEN magazine, they will be featuring a picture of me and my friend with Lance, and my story. Thanks!

Hey I have a story about an N'SYNC concert I went to on the 26th of March 99. IT is pretty long, cause I like to go into detail so please bare with me. Well, first off what made going to this concert even better was the fact that we, as in me and two other of my friends, got to start off our spring break with N'SYNC. The concert started at 7:30 and it was at the Rosemont Horizon which is about a 45min drive from where we live. So we decided that we wanted to leave at 4 or 4:30 to get there early. Yeah right, we didn't even get to leave at that time, we left at like 5:30. Anyway I think we got there at a little after 6 and it was already packed! Half the people who where arriving were going to the end of the line, but not us, we were smarter then that, we just pushed ourselves right up to the front. SO we stood there for about an hour when they finally opened the doors. Once those doors opened, the pushing began. I mean serious pushing to the point were once you were in the building you probably knew everyone. When we got in there I went straight to a vendor to buy some stuff, which was a pain in the ass too. After I got my stuff and found my friends I proceeded to find my ticket stub so we could get to our sits. I started to panic cause I couldn't find it. Then I did and once I did I saw that the security was taking away peoples posters as they entered the building. ( we had a poster with us that said "Gimme a break Gimme a break break me off a piece of dat Timberlake") So we pushed our way through the crowds of people like we were being chased. We had made it safely to our section. Once I saw the first ticket guy, I was like, he is going to tell us that we are in the wrong section and that we need to go down like a lot further, but he didn't! He looked at our tickets and told us to proceed down to the next lady and she would show us where our seats are. When we got to her we were so freakin close it wasn't even funny!!! Then she proceeded to take us closer!!! I was like, OH MY GOD!!!! WE were right there. OK, if They were on stage we would be to their left and on the side, but like right there!!! SO anyway, I started to freak! I was yelling and screaming and a whole bunch of stuff. So then like 20min later Divine came out and sang then Tatiyana Alli then this group called Sugar Hill. I thought N'SYNC was never going to come out! Then finally it went dark and everyone went crazy, it was so cool. I started to cry of course, this being my first N'SYNC concert and all. The concert was awesome, if you want to know about it just email me. I especially like the Sailing thing they did. What was cool was that during the whole concert, Chris and Lance mostly, were waving at us. This is cause we were like the oldest in that section and the tallest too.(16 is pretty old compared to all the other little girls) The people in front of us were like 10 and under so we got eyed a lot too. (if you want to see PICS email me also) It was great. Well, when the concert was over we got out of there as fast as we could. We headed straight for Zero Gravity, a 16-22 dance club. That was where N'SYNC was headed next. What sucked about this was that there was a $25 cover charge to get in, but we paid it and got in (even though one of my friends wasn't even 16) They didn't care. SO once we were in there we felt so out of place. I mean all the girls were dressed like sluts and were smoking. Then there was us, 3 girls fully dressed and so suburban looking. So we stood there for like 10 min till we spotted Mike, the bouncer who was going to introduce us to N'SYNC. He told us that they would be coming out soon and after they did he would take us to meet them. Then we started to find a place to stand to see N'SYNC when they came out. We finally found a good spot and they we stood for like 20min then they came out. All the girls were going crazy and trying to touch the guys. What sucked was that they were like raised up on this platform so it was a lot harder, but I had a better view. This is were I am blessed. Chris and Joey shook MY hand!!! Hell yeah!! They made eye contact and shook MY hand!!! It was great! What made me mad though was that Justin and the others were just waving at our section they didn't shack anyone's hand were I was standing. But man, they looked sssoooo damn HOT!!! To top it off when Chris was shacking my hand it said to me and I quote "I remember you from the concert" then he turned to Joey and pointed me out and Joey nodded like he remembered too, so he came over and shook my hand too. IT WAS SO PERFECT!!! Unfortunately it was already 11:30 and curfew for us is at 12 so we had to leave soon. After they got off stage, Margaret, one of the people I was with, started rushing to the doors like we were going to leave or something. I told her that we should find Mike and see if he can still introduce us to the guys, but she was so sure that the guys were going to leave and go to their hotel. So we wound up leaving. When we found Margaret's cousin who was driving us, he told us that he had meat Lance. We were like, WHAT!! He said that he was asked to help hold back some of the people and that when lance went passed him he asked if he could sign something for us. Lance said sure, but Margaret's cousin would have to go back to the car to get something, but Lance didn't have the time to wait so it didn't happen. What we later found out was that they were going to be there till 4am so I don't know if leaving was a good idea or not. SO that is my story and I know it is long but it was a lot of fun!!
Thanks to Nikki for this great 'N Sync Experience!!
APRIL 11, 1998 I MET NSYNC!!! FIRST OFF I HAD TO WIN TICKETS CUZ YA COULDNT BUY THEM. I WON THEM LAST SECOND. SO I WENT TO THE SHOW. I REALLY JUST WANTED TO SEE WHAT MY FELLOW MOUSEKETEERS WERE UP TO... BUT THEY BLEW ME AWAY. THE WHOLE GROUP WAS UNBELIEVABLE. I WAS HOOKED. THEY DANCED SO WELL. THEY SANG TEARIN UP MY HEART, U GOT IT, I DRIVE MYSELF CRAZY, I WANT U BACK, JUSTIN'S BEAT BOX THING--WHICH I PERSONALLY THINK IS ALWAYS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE SHOW. THAT WAS HOW I MET THEM
Thanks to Jenn for another GREAT 'N Sync encounter!!
My friend and I were really bummed because we didn't have tix to the N SYNC concert. WE hit the mall to work off our frustrations, and as we turned a corner, we saw these 2 guys, one with hair I recognized right away, but I though it was too good to be true. We went up to them, and I dared my friend to talk to them. She actually did it! I felt like I was gonna be sick, and she looked like she was gonna faint. We talked to them for a while, (they were Chris and Justin, by the way.) And they actually asked us if we wanted to hang with them! Of course we said yes. We went shoppong with them for like, an hour, then they had to leave. They had to go to an interview at MuchMusic. We were really upset, but then Chris asked us if we wanted to come! We called our parents and arranged everything. Chris and Justin also gave us front row tix AND backstage passes to the show! W went in their limo to their hotel where we picked up JC, Lance and Joey, then we went to MuchMusic. After the interview, (which was awesome, and of course Chirs made a few jokes, like when the Toronto Department of Hazardous Material pulled up across the street. He made a little comment, he was like, "Why is the Toronto Department of Hazardous Materials out there? Did we do something?") anyway, after the interview, we went to their sound check, then stayed for the show. After the show, we went backstage, and talked to them some more. We got a few pictures taken with them all, then, just when we thought the day couldn't get any better, they offered us a ride home! I invited my friend to sleep over at my house that night, so when we got to my house, we (all 7 of us) went inside, and I introduced the guys to my parents, my sister ( who freaked out when she saw Justin and JC, she LOVED the Mickey Mouse Club) and my brother, who was actually pretty cool about it. (he hates all groups that I like, especially N SYNC and BSB>) then the guys left, but Chris gave me a peice of folded paper, and said, "Keep in touch." When they left, I looked at it, and there were his and Justin's e-mail addresses, phone #'s, and home addresses. I couldn't believe it! My friend and I didn't sleep at all that night! We still keep in touch with the guys, and they promised to drop by again next time they're in Toronto. I just hope my cat isn't scared of Chris this time.
