but I just kinda let 'em roll off of me without thinking about them too much. Musically, The Wall is a brilliant masterpiece. From the first notes on side 1 to the last note of the closing track on side 4, there isn't a flaw on the whole thing. Every instrument, sound and effect fits exactly where they put it, and Gilmour's leads catch fire several times. Even when he isn't bending strings practically off the neck of his guitar - just listen to the solo at the end of Another Brick In The Wall Part 2 - the rhythm work is all perfect as well. |
