NOISE/MELODY
Here you can read some statements 'bout Noise & Melody....

Noise:
Extreme Music has to be a bit noisy. Well, I don't like Noisecore but I think that Grindcore has to be a bit noisy. Noise to me means aggression and intensity. I like that kind of noise because it pleases me.
Melody:
I don't think that music has to be melodic. Music has to have a meaning. May be the aggression or may be the lyrics. Melody is necessary for many kinds of music but not for extreme, true underground music. Some Crust bands have some melodies in their music but just to go back to something more extreme within the next riffs. That's a nice attitude because it gives the songs a structure and makes it easier to follow for the listener. In general I would say that melody is okay when it's used in a simple and smart way.

Noise:
Perfect noise (nearly) better than perfect sex.
Melody:
Music is the purest language of heart. Melody must be there, where I await it. Here it must be, it can be there, here it has nothing to do.

Noise:
I personally like the more musical forms of expression, than Noise core, but that doesn't mean, that I refuse it. Eventually, many "technically skilled" bands are doing pure noise on the stage, because of bad sound, instruments & conditions!
Melody:
I wouldn't like to disappoint someone, but I think, that melody is important in music. I've underlined the word music intentionally, 'cause I take it necessary mainly by bands, which try to express mainly with music. Apart from it, that in slavic music there is always melody, if you listen to it for the 1st or 10th time. I don't take melody necessary by bands, which express their attitude, opinion with music. It is a expression of opinion, it doesn't matter on the medium. Therefore the necessarity  of melody in music is relative, but I like melodic music more.
