Atom: Is that him?!?!
Brian: (laughs) Yeah, it's me.
Atom: How you doin?
Brian: I'm doin alright.
Atom: So where you calling us from man?
Brian: We are in, uh, let's see...Salt Lake City, Utah.
Atom: How many girls you got in your hotel room?? Come on man, 10...15...20?
Brian: (laughs) Uh, I don't know about that.
Atom: Now you guys are going to stop by Houston on the second leg of your tour...
Brian: Yeah
Atom: ...Anything different we can expect from the first?
Brian: Uh, uh there might be uh...
Atom: Some surprises, what? Naked girls? (Brian laughs) You guys gonna sit down chat about it, regroup?
Brian: Uh we were, we were uh talking about that a couple days ago actually amongst us five, and we were thinking about maybe possibly doing some wardrobe changes or, uh, some song changes, just to, uh, diferenciate. I guess the audiences, you know, because a lot of people are going to see us on this leg.
Atom: Now, how long are you guys going to be on tour?
Brian: Well, we've, uh, we've been traveling with this specific tour like 6 or 7 months now.
Atom: What? Another 6 or 7 to go? Gee!
Brian: Yeah, hehe, probably.
Atom: You guys feeling a lot of pressure? The first CD, since it was successful, I mean this one, let's face it, probably one of the biggest CDs of the decade selling wise.
Brian: Well we would hope so, hehe, we keep our fingers crossed. But I know we were all pretty nervous, um, because of the, uh, whole talk in the industry and the music industry about the sophomore slump.
Atom: Now, let me ask you something. I know you guys are riding pretty high right now, you have been for the past few years. Uh, do you ever think about when this crazy roller coaster ride is gonna end and what you're going to do?
Brian: Well, um, I probably just wanted to go, uh, I mean I will be writing and producing music the rest of my life. I plan to do that, that's...that's my love and, um, it's my profession right now, how I make my living.
Atom: Best thing about being a Backstreet Boys at this very moment?
Brian: The best part of, I think, the Backstreet Boys where we sit right now is where we're in control of the destinys that we hold for each of us. So it's going to be exciting to see how it pans out and I"m actually, I'm actually looking forward to it cuz I think we proved a lot of critics wrong with this boy band type thing. (little laugh)
Atom: Well, they say different strokes for different folks. But you know obviously you have a hardcore audience, they might, you know, be young, but still it's your audience and you do what you do and you do it well...Now, let me ask you, cuz we always ask every artist this when we talk to him, what do you listen to? What's in your cd player right now?
Brian: Uh, in my cd player right now I've got Brian McKnight's brand new cd. I've always idolized his music and his production. HOpefully I'll be doing something like that possibily solo down the road you know if I ever have that opportunity.
Atom: Alright, now let me ask you a question. When is the last time, it must have been a loong time ago, that you were able to walk into a music store and actually purchase a cd? Remember those days?
Brian: Yeah, hehe, I remember.
Atom: Can you even remember?
Brian: Is that why Springsteen wrote "The Glory Days"?
Atom: Is that what that was for? Well, then again people lie to me. Can go in a buy a couple cds?...u can BUY THE WHOLE FREAKIN STORE!
Brian: Hehe, I don't know about that.
Atom: Brian, I know you're a very busy man, uh, we're gonna go ahead and let you off the hook here. Thank you so much for taking the time to take with us, and best of luck. You guys are da bomb with the tour and we hope to definitely, we're definitely gonna see you here in Houston soon.
Brian: Well, that's cool. I appreciate it.
Atom: He's seen more women in a week than I've seen in my lifetime...BRIAN LITTRELL!!!
Brian: Alright, thank you very much.
