Sean Sellers: Howie D, Wuz happenin man!

Howie: Hey Sean, how ya doin?

Sean: Wuz up Howie D?

Howie: Nothin much, how ya doin'?

Sean: Well, I'm great man. Ya know we met, people tell you this all the time I know, but you I went to a Japanese steak house in Virginia Beach and you guys played at a mall there in front of, like, a hundred people.

Howie: Yeah! I totally remember that!

Sean: You do not! You and I sat together at lunch--me and you and Kevin!

Howie: Yes, that's right!!

Sean: Yeah! It was at a Kiota Japanese Steak House.

Howie: Yes! I totally remember that!

Sean: Well dude! I mean, you played in front of a hundred people at the mall that day and now look!!

Howie: Ahh...I know! Unbelievable, huh?

Sean:Is that the one word for it?

Howie: Yeah! Never know what life will lead ya.

Sean: Unbelievable. And ya know when we split that day and I left and you all left on your U-Haul truck I was like, "Man! I hope they do well, they are the nicest bunch of guys." And now look at ya!

Howie: I know! It's been good, man! It's definitely, it's...we've been blessed definitely.

Sean: Is this the best time of your life?

Howie: Oh! The most, like I say, these are the best years of my life. I'll, ya know, cheris forever to, like, tell my grand kids and everything from there on.

Sean: Oh! They'll know!

Howie: Hahahaha!!

Sean: They'll know! You guys will be doin the reunion tour.

Howie: Backstreet who? Who were they grandpa?

Sean: Hahaha...the box set will be out and there will be, like, 2 or 3 made-for-tv movies by then.

Howie: Hahaha...right...haha...like the 5 Heartbeats!

Sean: Right, exactly! No, it's like so exciting man! And I tell that story a thousand times. It's so great seeing ya guys doin this and just relaly taking the world over. I mean, I read what Kevin said about the Make A Wish Foundation and the girl comin in dressed like a princess because she felt like you guys were princes.

Howie: Awww! Yeah, I know, so cute!

Sean: You get that everywhere ya go. How do you deal with that? How do you keep your head on straight?

Howie: You know what? It's those things like that, ya know, bring happiness to kids like, you know, the internally ill or those who are out in the audience seein people that are singin all the words to our music and that our music changed their lives. Those kinds of things like that is what keeps ya goin man! Keeps ya, ya know and float from all this craziness that it brings.

Sean: Yeah.

Howie: It's just ya know, it's a reward very cherishing.

Sean: We'll, I mean we like seen it happen with the David Ruffin and we see it the guys where it just goes to their heads and it all falls apart. I mean, do you guys keep each other in check?

Howie: Oh! Definitely!

Sean: Yeah.

Howie: Yeah! Most definitely. We always constantly, ya know, keepin each others' feets down on the ground.

Sean: Yeah, it's like, "Alright, alright AJ! That's enough of that!" hahaha

Howie: Yeah! We all have our family members, relatives with us here and there, so they keep us in check as well.

Sean: So what about the ladies? Who is the ladies' man?

Howie: Uhh! We all have our moments! Here and there

Sean: Ahh! haha...good answer!

Howie: Hahahaha

Sean: Cause I hear it's you!

Howie: Oh, you do?

Sean: Yeah, yeah that's what I hear.

Howie: Ah! It's all a rumor. haha

Sean: Come on!! haha

Howie: hahaha

Sean: That's gotta be another tough subject man! You ot no time.

Howie: Exactly! Unfortunately, not enough time for anything serious. But, uh, it's good. OUr first love is music right now. All of that will come within time.

sean: And you tell to man! I mean, like the Millennium album, "Larger than Life" is huge!! They call it your grown-up album. Do you take offense to that?

Howie: Hahah...our grown-up album

sean: Backstreet Boys have arrived, it's their grown-up sound on Millennium!!

Howie: Haha! Really?

Sean: Yeah

Howie: Ah! Well, it's interesting. We're constantly tryin, ya know, have our music grow as, ya know, we're actually, and as our fans are growing. Ya have to like Madonna and like everybody that's out there, ya know. You have to like constantly rerrena...ah...

Sean: Re-invent?

Howie: Re-invent yourself. Haha. Yeah, that's the word. I'm getting hooked on phonics here. haha

Sean: Hahaha

Howie: But, uh, try like constantly, ya know, come up with, like, a little bit more of an edget each album, just, ya know, keep the audience like, "Wow!!" That doesn't sound like the last album and something different and I like it actually!

Sean: Well the song "I Want it That Way", that, like, bridged, like, every gap in the world. Howie: Ah! I know! It's so unbelievalbe, ya know, that was like a sleeper song we thought.

Sean: Come on!

Howie: Yeah! Originally, when the record company said we really think this should be your first single, we were like, "Wow! Ya know, it's a little bit too close to the last album." We said, "You know what? This would probably bridge the two albums together."

Sean: Oh! It's beautiful.

Howie: Yeah, it was unbelievable success we had on it so far.

Sean: Hey, it's Howie D everybody. He is about to run out of time, they're up in Canada and I gotta let him fly cause he's packing his duffle bag right now.

Howie: hahaha

Sean: That Canadians love you guys. You were big in Canada before you even made it down here.

Howie: I know! They were very, very loyal to us. They bridged our music back over to America for us.

Sean: Well, have a great show man! Have a great time. I'm getting "Larger than Life" on right now on the countdown. You wanna intro it, tell us a little bit of something about the song real quick?

Howie: Cool, cool! Howie D of the Backstreet Boys. This is our newest release, ("Larger than Life" starts playing) "Larger than Life". Actually, this was my favorite video.
