A doom metal band coming out of the U.K. make their debut. This album was made in 1992 and I just got it, so that's a six year difference. Definitely a pioneering doom metal band, they remind me somewhat of Thorns of the Carrion. The big difference is the vocals, which sound similar to Six Feet Under's vocals. They're very low and deep and distorted. The guitars are somewhat weak sounding, but the stuff they play is great. They do some fast speed riffing stuff but it's kept to a minimal. Very depressing atmosphere, cool violins and all kinds of melancholy lyrics.

Production rating 7/10
Songwriting 8/10
