Vital Remains

Excruciating Pain

Tony Lazro - rhythm guitar
Throat - vocals
Paul Flynn - lead guitar
Tom Supkow - bass
Ace Alonzo - drums

1. Intro
2. Human Sacrifice
3. Resurrected
4. Fallen Angels
5. Excruciating Pain
6. Fallen Angels
7. Nocturnal Blasphemy
8. Outro

This demo, in my opinion, was definitely not worth the five dollars my friend paid for it (hahaha!) The vocals are total garbage, the lyrics blatantly unoriginal and the lead guitarist can't do a solo! The only thing good about this piece of shit is the drums and at times the rhythm guitar. For some weird reason, "Fallen Angels" is played twice on the album, but not listed twice. What the fuck?!? There are some good rhythm guitar parts, but there isn't anything on this album to set Vital Remains apart from bands like Slayer or Morbid Angel.

Forever Underground

Tony Lazaro - rhythm guitar
Joseph Lewis - bass, vocals and lyrics
David Suzuki - drums and lead guitar

1. Forever Underground
2. Battle Ground
3. I Am God
4. Farewell to the Messiah
5. Eastern Journey
6. Divine in Fire

If Morbid Angel was good, they still wouldn't be as good as Vital Remains. They're really heavy and at times melodic. "I am God" and "Forever Undeground" display their talents very well. The drummer does lead guitars, so a friend of theirs named Aaron does the leads during shows. The songs are really, really long but not that atmospheric. They keep you awake because of the militant riffs and disgusting vocals. Their bassist does the vocals. His voice is as deep a bass and he growls. They have a Satanist thing going but they don't wear silly facepaint or pretend to sacrafice little poodles. I don't care a whole lot for their lyrics which are totally unoriginal, but hey, music is supposed to sound cool and you can't make out the words anyway.
