I had the very distinct pleasure of catching the Incubus/System of a Down tour on October 3rd in Raleigh NC. These two bands are some of the best out there right now. Incubus having my CD of the year in '97 and System of a Down having my CD of the year in '98(yes, this year). I've watched both of these bands blow up since their release of SCIENCE and System of a Down(respectively). Ok, back to the show. The bands at the Ritz(club in NC) were Dial-7, Nothingface, System of a Down, and Incubus(actually COC was there too on this special date, but I didn't stay). It's hard to give the show an overall rating so I've rated them individually.

Finally, it was time for Incubus. Definitely one of my favorite bands of all time. They can do no wrong. I had been lucky enough to catch Incubus on tour with the Phunk Junkeez and Shootyz Groove last year and I was also able to catch them on this year's Ozzfest. Both were great performances that I will remember for years to come. Well...needless to say that I've seen the band's fans grow tremendously in the past year or so. The Incubus set was really tight. Like as if I was listening to the CD or something. We were treated to Antigravity in a different chord and I personally thought it sounded better. On a side note...there is absolutely no reason why anyone should be moshing/crowdsurfing or whatever the hell it is some people do during Antigravity. It's a great song and should be enjoyed calmly. I don't know what the hell some people where thinking. Ok, done with the side note. I really have to give props to the new DJ, Kilmore. He managed to surprise us with new samples that seemed to fill the gaps in the music quite nicely. The whole crew was in top form and each played their part with much enthusiasm and showmanship.
