Orgy Pulls Out of Tour Due to Illness

Less than a week before they were to embark on one of the spring's most anticipated tours, Orgy have bailed out of Papa Roach's Raid the Nation trek because of an illness in the band.

Guitarist Amir Derakh has been diagnosed with mononucleosis, according to a statement from Warner Bros., and doctors have ordered him to stop touring for the next five to six weeks.

Derakh became ill during the Los Angeles glam-rockers' Vapor Transmission tour, which kicked off February 20. Orgy were forced to cancel the final five shows of that tour — Cleveland; Louisville, Kentucky; San Antonio, Texas; South Padre Island, Texas; and Corpus Christi, Texas — and are hoping to reschedule the dates in May or June.

Meanwhile, Papa Roach will search for a replacement for Orgy, according to a spokesperson for the tour. Fellow Los Angeles rockers Alien Ant Farm will remain on the outing, which begins March 17 in New Orleans.

Orgy's Vapor Transmission, released in October, includes the single "Opticon." 1
