While Elektra figures out what to do with Ashley Hamilton's in-the-can Fine album, the actor/musician son of George Hamilton has been recording yet another project with some very famous friends. Dubbed the Wondergirls, Hamilton (vocals/guitar) is joined by Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland (guest vocals/songwriting/some additional production), ex-Porno For Pyros bassist Martyn LeNoble (bass),ex-Failure guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar), actor Jared Leto's brother Shannon Leto (some drums), Orgy singer Jay Gordon (keyboards/some songwriting), and Fine guitarist Chris Lloyd (guitar). The group is currently in a Los Angeles studio with producer Josh Abraham (Orgy, Deadsy), and will most likely have an album, which looks to be more edgy and electronic-sounding (think '80s electronic ala Love and Rockets)than Hamilton's more pop/rock- oriented Fine, out on Flip/143/Atlantic this fall.As for Fine's debut, Against The View, which was produced by Victor Indrizzo (Drizz, Magnificent Bastards), Elektra says the album's not yet inked in on their release schedule, but the label hopes to see it hit stores later this summer. It was originally slated for release in February. 1
