VIC's Comments: " "This is only the third time in this fiscal year that I have risked bodily harm and personal shame by performing with LIVE MUSICIANS. And tonight I'm risking even more since I'm playing in a trio. As geometrists and those in love will tell you TRIANGLES MEAN TROUBLE. Consider all the tension inherent in a triangle. Usually two sides are equal and expend all their energy propping up the third unequal side. Even a triangle with three equal sides is troubled because it means one point must stand at a different degree than the other two. Note the three live musicians that make up Vic Masters and the Vicarage and watch where they are standing in relation to themselves AND YOU at all times! May their tension never be yours. Kind audience, I love you always, even though one or two of the other sides shant!"

Synopsis: Billed as Night of 1000 Books for Back to Schoolers. Herein lies the reason karaoke shows became a neccesity for someone like Vic--musicians are temperemental and frequently don't get along. Now Vic knows how Cream felt, going onstage in a trio where the other two members aren't talking to one another. So worried was he of the show's outcome (it turned out mediocre in his estimation) that Vic actually opened the proceedings with a prayer in the Playbill:

A Prayer By St. Vic , Patron Saint of Back 2 Schoolers and Squabbling Musicians

"Most heavenly father, please bless all of your children who have returned to school and are desperately trying to keep their grade average up. Please grant them the serenity they need to avoid beer blasts. Also look with favor on those many who have left behind their scholastic endeavors, that they may prosper beyond the minimum wage that has been the bane of their forefathers. Bless, too, the three humbled musicians who form this most unholy trinity. Let their rock be strong and true and may they resist the urge to pummel one another until they are but 50 feet away from this holy establishment. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. AMEN."
