At the time Vic went by his Christian name Dominic Salerno and he collabotated with Daniel Pearl in Holiday Slides to do showcases. At one point, an A&R man at A&M was very keen on the group's first demo containing "Priceless Is Right" but never anything after that. Danny and Serene learned (much to their horror) that said A&R man thought the Slides sounded like Supertramp!) Yuck!

Thus 500 copies of Can You Count the Brunettes? were pressed on their Sincere label and despite its sprawling sound quality (the tracks range from 8 track to 24), it's still fondly remembered by theLively and Finicky One, thus its periodical appearances in the show, especially the "He Ain't Heavy: A Salute To Musical Brothers Show " where he reunited with Danny his musical brother after four years of not seeing each other. Heaven knows where else you'll find a copy of this tape now unless you befriend Vic FAST!
