A worthwhile sampling of great Arizona groups like the Beat Angels, Les Payne Product, Trunk Federation, Pollen, Jesus Chrysler Supercar and the Sport Model. Unfortunately the Best Buy chain, which promised a lot of things going in to this project neither promoted or even properly mastered this disc. Serene's track sounds pitifully low-fi when compared to the other tracks it's nestled against. If only the Morose One could borrow a cup of bass from neighbors Chronic Future, then maybe this recording would've had a chance. As it is, that this CD was just shoved out onto store shelves with nary a word of acknowledgement was rather a good thing. You can probably pick one up for $3.99.

This last recording to bear the Serene Dominic name neglected to mention the Semi-Detached who played marvelously on it. The track used in the All Star Karaoke/Cabaret Revoltaire shows is an instrumental mix of this recording. The version of "The Uncontrollable Woman" found on Vic Masters' Adult Contemptuous is a newer recording from August, 1997.
