"Where is the Mantovani Scene"? wonder the liner notes to the album of the same name. "Here, there and everywhere" the same liner notes answer back! These days, Mantovani's scene seems to be St. Vincent De Paul's where his albums are an inescapable presence. But no matter. Rarely does Vic do a show without a Mantovani recording since he is unable to live without those cascading violins, long a Mantovani trademark. Even so, there's got to be creepier muzak version of "HONEY" somewhere besides this. This was the best one Vic could find and it's merely maudlin. "DELILAH" and "Goldfinger" kick ass, though.
