Louder is the ultimate paradox. On the one hand, we don't give a shit about anything. On the other, we are very careful and precise. We blew out a fuse at a show because we were too loud. Neighbourhoods reported the police because we were too loud. Waitress at the bar got mad at us because we were too loud. Bands scheduled after us were cancelled because we were too loud. No, seriously, we don't give a shit. In fact, we are happy to be loud. However, we know that it's absolutely vital that we control all the environments within our own instruments. Being loud is one thing. Being loud and good is better. We practiced very hard.

Louder is a paradox in another sense. We were all quite young - but we were all heading nowhere. As depressing as it sounds, we all knew how young we'd all die knowing the way we lived. Still, we all worked very hard at what we did. Louder is a spirit. Louder is a concept. We practiced hard, but we still worked hard at our day jobs. At Cactus Studio, everything is meaningless because we'd sweat and repeat till we no longer hear mistakes. Everything is left there. During the day, Ho would cut somebody's hair. Chris would learn to fly a plane. Jim would make some drawings/models. Tree would pack some bread. Kenny would write some programs. This was the way we were - a hairdresser, a pilot, an architect, a breadpacker, and a computer science student - we somehow converged in our sad and short lives and rocked out for one summer without forgetting the importance of ethics: play hard and work hard.

One day we will all die and decay into ashes. For what it's worth today, we got together as different beings with different roles in life and rocked out yesterday. For that alone, there is no regret in life. If there is regret, it is for those who never heard how loud and how fucking good we were.
