With so many things
in my head

with so many things
to do
how does one find
time to do any damn thing
so tired and so eager
so fucking burned out
there has to be ways to
do what one needs to do
without falling asleep
on benches

JJ. Can you bring me one of them Jesus Skillets please?
And, honey, could I get some more sugar for my coffee?
Thanks. I appreciate that.

"If you never do anything to make yourself seen...like really seen, the type that makes people point, then you don't deserve to be seen at all. That's my theory, and not only on a basketball court, to look good while you're doing it is just as important as doing it good, and combine both and you've got it made. Presence is where it's at, but not the going out of your way to be noticed presence, but sneaky, shy presence (though it's all a part, you're still always aware). Presence like a cheetah rather than a chimp. They've both got it, but the chimpy gotta jump his nuts around all day to get it, shy cheetah just sits in total nonchalance or moves a sec or two in his sexy strut.
Like it's easy on the court, you dunk a ball, dribble or pass behind the back...make a super layup out of an easy one (but not obvious you had to do it) then get fouled on it, say, and just walk to the line like you don't hear no "ohhs" and "ahhs," put on a "didn't you expect it" or "you dopey bastards" mug and walk lazily looking down all around like you were looking for the jock you faked off the dude who was guarding you."

You think you're so cool
with your black boots
and black hair
making a spectacle of yourself
to show you don't care
But, I see through your act,
your guise is just smoke
You're a social throw-away
A 20 year-old joke
Your mom blames your friends
Your friends blame your mother
Dad doesn't notice
Can't tell you from your brother
You've pierced your nipple
your tongue, your cheek
You chain smoke Camels
but you won't eat meat
You've got life wired
even though you can't drive
You smoke pot for hours
and think you're alive
Punk is dead and grunge is out now
you've joined the alternative nation
but the music you're blastin' on your radio
is a programmed rotation
I've been there, I've seen your type
I've read your resume
I'll laugh at you in 10 years
When you're sellin' out your M.B.A.

Welcome to the kingdom
I didn't think you'd really
understand
But I do thank you for
playing along as long as you did
anyway
What you must understand is
I am not going to stop
living in a world that
is mine
a perfect creation
I've only entered this level and
have so much more to
explore
So excuse me while I
slip through the "walk-out" and back onto
the throne in
my kingdom of leisure

Dolphins on vacation
cruising more leisurely
than even the king at his best
Not caring in the least
only sharing the blessed
beauty of the beast
When they go home
they'll talk of the
crazy, wild animals seen
on the edge of the waters
Of the land-locked bi-peds
cooking under the sun
screaming and splashing madly
Why do they stare so?
Are they in awe of such perfection
or are they thinking of other
ways to kill?
When the holiday is over
things will be so much more sane
without their boats and their trash
and the dolphins can again
Concentrate on important issues
like being the supreme being
under God's great water.
