Liz Phair's new album, Somebody's Miracle, has the bounce of her 2003 pop hit single "Why Can't I?" and the bite of her older, indie-rock rebel tunes. "I'm happier now," mom Phair explains. "In my 20s I was angry and defiant, but the 30s are when you take care of kids or parents. You're a part of the population that's moving the world around. There's a power and freedom in that. You can get things done." She sure can.
