Where I met Smashing Pumpkins was at 333 Young St in Toronto Ont at HMV. I stood out there for 7 hours, I was frozen. I wore warm clothes but the security said we had to stand on the slushy side of the sidewalk so that pedestrians could walk along on the nice side which kinda sucked. I was almost in tears because I was so cold. They had the wristband policy which was that they handed out 300 wristbands. There was 5 rules also...1) SP was only there for an hour 2)They will not sign any instruments of any kind 3) NO poses 4) No digital cameras or recorders 5)Only sign one article per person. I finally was in the building, after 7 hours of coldness I was almost crying beacuse I was so happy I was in there finally. At the table at the back of HMV sat in order: Melissa, James, Jimmy and Billy. I gave Melissa a sticker that said 'simply canadian' with a funny pic on it and said how happy i was to meet her and proud that shes canadian and she said thanks and asked me my name. But I coudn't speak, I would have burst out into tears so my friend said my name for me. After I could collect myself I apologized and said I was just so cold and happy to be here. Then she said that shes proud to be a strong canadian female like myself and shook my hand. Then she said "WHOAH YOU ARE COLD!". I guess some kids said they were cold but I was REALLY COLD! Anyhoo then I was such in shock, taking pics, I said hey to jimmy and james but they looked kinda bummed for some reason. Finally we got to billy. I said "To make a long story short, you have made my life so much better when im down sometimes. and my dad and i went to your show a couple years back and had a great time together. and i thank you for letting my dad and i have a great night together" and he said "AWWWWW THATS SWEET!" and hugged and kissed me on the cheek i was in awe. Then I introduced my friend and I gave billy the gift that her and I bought him. It was a tie. He took it out and thanked us both and said he can always use more of those! HEHE! When I said bye he said bye and that he was happy that he made a good night for me and my dad. I was truly pleased. Billy smelt great too. Hes really tall! I knew he was tall but he was REALLY TALL! And skinny too I think. He looked awesome. Truly a terrific person and I was honored to meet him.
