I am in denial

You tell me you need stuff

You tell me we are best friends

You know I can’t resist you

Even if I try as hard as I can

I am addicted to pain, torture, horror, lies, and liars

You sit on my bed talking to me

You tell me to go somewhere with you

Eventhough you know how it hurts me

How can you do this

And when the lights dim you forget me

You tell me I’m not wanted there

You tell me to go home

I cannot forgive you

Because I pretend I don’t know

what goes on when the lights dim

I pretend I don’t remember your words

But I do; I know you need power

You have power over me

You’ve always had power over me

But now I’m the one forgetting you

Because when the lights dim

Everything stands still.
