Radiomotive has been performing in the Dallas/Denton area for four years in places such as Trees, The Curtain Club, Club Clearview, The Galaxy Club, The Live Garden, The Door, The Liquid Lounge, Rick's Place, The Across The Street Bar, Club Atlantis, Groovy Mule, Austin College (Sherman), and The University of North Texas in Denton.
Some of the band's accomplishments include winning a place on Harder Beat Magazine's Jam Fest CD compilation, Being voted "favorite band" by Bruce Hall at the University of North Texas, Playing at the Women Rockin' 4 Women 2001 Benefit, a live webcast and interview on Musicians.net, an appearance on 105.3's "Ron and Don Show" and being a featured band on Planetradio.net.
The band was formed September 1996 at The University of North Texas by Carrie Grisham, Michelle Powers (former drummer), and Mike Scherpenberg aka "Slappy". After changing the lineup a few times, Radiomotive now consists of: Carrie Grisham (lead vocals, guitar), Dave Semans (lead guitar, vocals), and Slappy (bass).
